Afternoon All,

Apologies we’ve been a bit quiet over the last couple of days.

With the question of membership balances we have compiled information which we will be submitting to insurance - please note that this is now likely to be a time consuming process and take weeks rather than days, but, we’ll keep you updated as we receive information back.

Our sister facilities at Fit4less Douglas are available, and they’d be delighted to welcome you in there, while we assess the damage. Any prices will also be maintained by and reciprocated between the clubs, now and in the future.

Reminder - Please don’t attempt to go near the building in the high winds - the roof is in a dangerous condition.

***UPDATE 2 17/9/2018***

Good evening and thank you for your continued understanding.

Our team have replied to several hundred emails, but we still have several hundred to get to. If you’ve emailed us, we will respond soon.

We have started to return personal belongings to those that had things in lockers - if you didn’t get up today, don’t worry, we’ll still be there for the next few days, times TBC.

Now, the most frequent question remaining is around memberships.

All memberships will be honoured by Fit4less Douglas for the remainder of this month.

We have agreed that your price and referral benefit will be maintained if you join with Douglas, and then, further maintained if you then also return to Main St post repair.

We have suspended the ‘join online’ function on our website.

The annual memberships are being reviewed, and if you had any time remaining on a long term membership, we are awaiting clarity from our service providers on what the options are. Please bear with us.

If you are paying by direct debit, we have asked our service provider to suspend October. If you’ve cancelled your own DD, you might receive an automated letter from them adding an admin fee. Let us know if you receive this and we’ll intervene.

If you are a client of one of our superb PT’s, please continue to support them as they seek to secure an interim solution.

Please remember, we are a small team and are working hard to get back to everyone, with limited access to IT equipment - I have attempted to personally reply to all messages, my apologies if I’ve missed anyone!

Hi all,

The personal belongings that we recovered on Saturday are now available for collection from Fit4less Douglas.

Please bring a note of locker number you were using and some ID please.

These will be available for collection until 5pm today.

Please let us know if you can’t manage and we’ll make an alternative arrangement.

***UPDATE 15/09/2018***

Since the fire on Wednesday, one of the most frequent questions we’ve had has been about personal property that was in the lockers.

Today, we received police authority to (carefully) enter the building.

I am happy to bring some good news that myself and a couple of team members have been able to empty every locker and secure the personal belongings therein.

These belongings are no longer at risk in the building, and we will now make arrangements to have these items returned to their rightful owners.

MEMBERS NOTICE
For all members who want to continue their Fit4less journey to transfer their membership to the Douglas club. Your price will remain the same and any time left on your annual membership will be honoured.

We are deeply saddened that the club will remain closed for the foreseeable future due to the extensive fire damage.

All members have dual access to Fit4less Douglas until the end of the month..You can transfer your membership to Fit4less Douglas by calling 01382 502555 or pop into the club which is located beside the Odeon in Douglasfield.
