Since January 2017 I have literally worked E V E R Y hour under the sun and put my all into my work, and to have it recognised tonight was just amazing!! 🙌🏽

I know I’ve not been in business that long, and there’s a LOT of other trainers and gyms in Dundee, but I believe my different approach to “health” is what’s won me this award tonight 😩🙌🏽

❤️🏋️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 A new Everlast gym is set to open inside the Overgate Shopping Centre in 2027, bringing a major new fitness and leisure offering right into the heart of Dundee city centre.

It’s the latest investment from Frasers Group at the Overgate, following the arrival of the huge three-storey Frasers store in 2025 and Flannels later that year.

The new gym is expected to help take occupancy at the Overgate from its current 90% to an impressive 96% when it opens.

An exact opening date and details of what we can expect inside the new Everlast gym have still to be announced – but another big addition is on its way to Dundee city centre!

Ever thought of trying boxing? Sam did, when he was 10. What started as a 10yr old has turned into a pro journey of 6-0.
A list of Sam’s achievements are below and a word on why boxing helps kids and the community.

Started Lochee at 10yrs old

◦ First Scottish fight on Sunderland aged 12
◦ First international camp at 15 France
◦ European silver medalist 16 in Hungary
◦ Was winning Scottish titles from 11-17
◦ Bronze medal at youth commonwealth games in Bahamas at 17
◦ 2018 Scottish British and European bronze medalist as a youth
◦ Senior at 19 travels the world for 3 years boxing in major intentional tournaments
◦ 2022 gets on team GB and wins U22 European medal and first Scottish medalist at senior level in 16 years.
◦ Win the commonwealth games in Birmingham 2022
◦ Turned professional October 2024 and now 6-0 fighting on sky sports with zuffa boxing

The coaches at Lochee boxing club have been a major part of my career from a young boy to now Jerry and Andy Howett, Scotty Cunningham John Reilly.. Brian Howett, Gordon Burns,’Derek lynch and Garry Anton all of those people gave up there time to help local kids in the communities giving people opportunities to stay of the streets and change their life’s. if they make champions or not the values people learn from kids to men or young women shapes them to be better people in and out the ring.
