Baxter Park junior parkrun is on every Sunday as usual throughout the holidays, but we still need a few more marshals to make this week’s event happen. 💚

Reminder that we are cancelled for the next 3 weeks, due to another event on in the park 🎶

This Saturday, we have Baxter Park junior parkrun coming to run the show! They are looking for children to fill as many of the volunteer roles as possible (accompanied by their responsible adult of course) and to walk or run round together. Get in touch with ourselves or Baxter Park juniors if you have a child or young person that could get involved 🫶

Parents, guardians, we would like to invite you and your little 'uns to volunteer, walk or run at Camperdown parkrun, Dundee on Saturday 20th June! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

Baxter Park junior parkrun is taking over "big" parkrun, and we would love to fill every volunteer role - including co-Run Director - with our amazing 4–14 year olds (supported by a responsible adult, of course) 🫶

If volunteering isn’t their thing, they can still join us for a relaxed parkwalk together. We have had a few juniors at Camperdown, but we’d love to see loads more there for this special event. 🚶‍♀️🚶

Let’s fill the roster with young volunteers and make it a morning to remember! Comment below or message us if your child would like to take part. 📧

The course is now passable, so our spies say, so we are planning on running on Saturday.

There are a few people going to the park on Friday about 5pm to check for litter etc if you want to join them.

Hello everyone

We have had to take the decision to cancel tomorrow's Camperdown parkrun. The course is blocked, and so is the B-Route, so we're off.

The nearest parkruns to go to instead are:

West Links in Arbroath

Perth North Inch

Forfar Loch

St Andrews Craigtoun Park

Loch Leven at Loch Leven's Larder.

We hope to be back on next week, we'll keep you informed.

Thanks to everyone who came to Camperdown this morning. Another great turnout on a lovely late spring morning.

We want to remind everyone that we do not have sole use of the park, so please be courteous and respectful to other park users on the way around. The paths are narrow in places, and there’s some traffic on the roads, so you may have to slow down, or stop, sometimes. There’s always another event next week.

We’re on the lookout for more volunteers, as always - if you can help, drop us an email with your a-number. [email protected] for all your parkrunning needs.

And, remember we’ll be cancelled on 27th June, 4th July and 11th July while the park prepares for Doof.

A great turnout yesterday, for Camperdown parkrun #643. 231 of you completed the course (with 25 PBs), ably assisted by 17 fantastic volunteers, including Jean, who jumped on as tail walker, last minute 😊

There were some notable milestones this week: Sam Barclay and David Collison completed their 300th parkruns; Tim Heilbronn did his 250th parkrun (with exactly 200 of those at Camperdown); Malcolm Farnan completed his 200th; Vladimir Komaganskiy and Thomas McComack their 100th; and Callum Fyall his 50th. Well done, all.

Starting their parkrun adventures, we had 9 folk completing their first ever events, and 20 first-time visitors to Camperdown. Welcome, everyone, we hope you'll be back soon!
