Camperdown parkrun, Dundee

**Cancellation notice**

Unfortunately, this Saturday's event (29th August) is cancelled, due to unavoidable circumstances. We never want to cancel, but I've checked the park this evening, and there's no getting around it.

You can still get your parkrun fun at one of our neighbouring events; and if you'd like a wee volunteering fix on Saturday, you may want to contact the team at Broughty Ferry Esplanade, who are still looking for some volunteers.

Hopefully I'll see you all soon.

What a beautiful day at Camperdown for Parkrun,🌞 well done to the 186 who ran, jogged, and walked around the park thanks as always to our amazing volunteers. Special shout out to the 9 participants doing their first ever parkrun (hope to see you again) and the 26 first timers from near and far. Congratulations also to the 19 who got PB"s today. We had a 30th Birthday group, congratulations to Heather 🎉and to Derek who has passed his 300th Parkrun. Join us again next week to do it all again and why not volunteer, see you soon .😀

What a bright sunny morning at Camperdown. 190 lovely finishers completed a lap around the park supported by lots of volunteers.

Today’s RD felt like Pitbull - Mr Worldwide! 🗺️

We had visitors from:
Across Scotland including Fort William 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
South of the border including Fareham 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
Germany 🇩🇪
Japan 🇯🇵
Cape Town, South Africa 🇿🇦

They were all part of the 194 finishers today, who were able to parkrun today thanks to the 17 volunteers. Well done everyone, and thank you to those in hi vis 🫶🏻

Special shoutout to Camperdown stalwart Wendy Patterson who did her 500th parkrun - with 479 of them being at Camperdown! Wendy has also volunteered over 100 times. Congratulations and thank you Wendy! 👏🏻

Hello Campers 👋🏻 it’s nearly parkrunday and the roster is looking pretty good. We have enough to go ahead as it stands but could use another scanner or two. As epic as Ken is, I’m not sure he should be scanning every single barcode himself tomorrow! See you all soon 🔜

If you love our trails, you’ll love the Templeton Trail race, just across the road from Camperdown! Hosted by the friendly local running club Dundee Roadrunners, it’s a lovely event, all abilities welcome.

Our next event that's open to the public is the Templeton Trail Race on Sunday 2nd August. It's on paths around Clatto Woods and is suitable as a first trail race if you've never done one before. There's a great complimentary spread of food at the end!

The Templeton 10 mile race is also now open at https://www.entrycentral.com/templeton10, another race with a great spread at the end and at this one you'll receive a memento designed by Laura (who designed the Dundee 10k medal).
