Tomorrow is race day and it looks like perfect running weather! If you haven't entered yet, you can still sign up at https://www.entrycentral.com/drrtrail until 8pm tonight. Or if you wake up tomorrow morning and decide you want to run with us, just turn up at the Clatto Centre by 10.15am and sign up on the day.

Members of Dundee Roadrunners were recently in Wurzburg, one of our twin cities, where they took part in a race as guests of the local running club. They were presented with a trophy which they wanted to display in the Twinning Room on the civic floor of the City Chambers so following some refreshments and a presentation (see photo), it was put in the Wurzburg display cabinet alongside the flag of the Bavarian city.

Our next event that's open to the public is the Templeton Trail Race on Sunday 2nd August. It's on paths around Clatto Woods and is suitable as a first trail race if you've never done one before. There's a great complimentary spread of food at the end!

The Templeton 10 mile race is also now open at https://www.entrycentral.com/templeton10, another race with a great spread at the end and at this one you'll receive a memento designed by Laura (who designed the Dundee 10k medal).

As a thanks to the Logie Recreational Club for the continued kind use of their facilities to allow DRR to hold events at the clubbie we have donated £300 to their chosen charity, Rachel House Hospice.

Rachel House Hospice provides support and accommodation for the families of children who have a terminal illness ♥️

Templeton Trail Race RACE STARTS AT 11am on Sunday 2 August Race Numbers are to be collected on the day. The event is a fun introduction to trail running, run mostly on well-defined park paths, but with some trails and short hills. It is a one lap route around Templeto

Our trail race has just opened for entries at https://www.entrycentral.com/drrtrail

It's on Sunday 2nd August and is a run of about 5 miles (8km) on forest paths starting from Clatto Reservoir. If you've done Camperdown parkrun, it's fairly similar types of terrain, but without such a big hill and it's usually fairly dry in summer. There's also a complimentary spread of food at the end that is worth the entry fee by itself!

So if you missed out on a Dundee 10k entry, or just because you like running on trails, why not sign up?

The Dundee 10k, hosted in partnership with Monifieth High School, opens for entries at 6pm Sunday 4th January.
