Happy July 1st!
If you are flipping over your calendar today you are getting a simple meditation image!
Warm earthy tones, ample moss, and a Scot’s pine forest.
Take a breath.
Enjoy it.

Where Wally, Scottish edition!
Just chilling in my natural habitat.
It was quite beautiful though. We have stopped at House Of Bruar so many times but never followed the path out the back towards the falls, but it was totally worth it.

Go on, give it a twirl.
I’ve not been back in Glen Affric since I did my dissertation fieldwork here. I was across the water here repeating an investigation into Scots Pine regeneration and the levels of Red Deer population in the area to map if there had been significant changes here and in other fragments of forest across the highlands of Scotland.
Now, with my passion for all things tartan and kilts, I’m thrilled to be wearing the Glen Affric tartan. Fragments were found in this valley during forestry works and dating the fragment takes it back to the 16th century before most clans had chosen their current clan colours. Restoration work was carried out to bring out the colours and this is what you get!
