Now that’s a lot of monkeys!

2025 was one of our best years yet and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Our community means so much to us and we are so proud to show you what we have achieved.

Stand outs:

★ Dundee Play Festival 2026 -
4 days of nonstop play for all ages. We went on treasure hunts, sang karaoke on the Ember bus and paraded through the city with our new and old friends. 🎏
Dundee Play Festival 2026

★ The Refugee Festival 2026 including the Second National Refugee Football World Club

★ Community Wardrobe -
Began a new project called Community Wardrobe. Supporting the community, supplying clothing food and household goods. Every Friday 10am - 12pm.

★ The Wellgate office got a glow up -
With the help of the community, local art students designed and painted our Wellgate office, adding more life to the space.

★ Selling a lot of mannequins -
Finally starting to dwindle down our mannequin collection with help of Rachel Park Design and her Ink & Mannequin Masterclass Form workshop.

★ And so much more!

We Can A' Kick a Ba!
What a fantastic day at Glebelands Primary School as families came together for We Can A' Kick a Ba! as part of the opening celebrations of Dundee Play Festival.
The event was packed with fun, laughter and plenty of football-inspired activities, giving children and families the chance to play together, get active and enjoy time outdoors with their community.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and to all the staff, volunteers and partners who helped make the event such a success. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and so much community spirit.
Here's a look back at some of our favourite moments from the day!

Dundee is full of amazing communities—and this year's Play Festival was a fantastic reminder of that!
Throughout the festival, community groups and local organisations from across the city came together to create welcoming, fun and inspiring spaces for children, young people, adults and families to play, connect and make memories.
From creative workshops and outdoor adventures to games, crafts and shared experiences, every project brought something unique to the festival. Thank you to everyone who gave their time, energy and passion to make it all happen.
Here's a look at just some of the incredible community projects that helped make Dundee Play Festival such a special celebration of play.

We are welcoming a Team from St. Andrews University who want to spend a day using artistic exploration, self-reflection and guided exercises with artists from across the UK as a way of exploring climate emotions and our
community. It is an amazing opportunity to take part in activities that help us understand how we think and respond to climate change through creativity.

The event will be held in our Wellgate Community Hub on Wednesday 1st July between 10am and 2pm. It is free to attend and lunch will be provided and we would just ask anyone who would like to come along to book in advance

ScrapAntics Family Club at 🧥👗

Last weekend, Family Club were invited along for a special look at the Catwalk exhibition at the V&A. Families really enjoyed learning about different designers from around the world.

After, they got to try their hand at making their own designs! They sketched ideas inspired by what they’d seen at the exhibition and then made their own mini-catwalk!

We think they did an amazing job and showed so much creativity. Family Club is all about providing opportunities for families to spend quality time together, trying new things and developing new skills. We currently work with over 300 families across Dundee from a wide range of backgrounds. If you’d like to learn more or work with us please get in touch! 🤗

Thank you very much to Neil, our Community Engagement Worker who leads on the Family Club project (amongst many other projects at Scrap!) for making this happen and thank you to the wonderful staff at V&A Dundee for making us feel so welcome.
