Back to league action this weekend as we take on Dundee Uni Medical Students in our second league game of the season.

After winning our first league game 4-0 against Broughty we look to build on that with another win before taking part in the Scottish cup first round next weekend.

Beat by the better side today 2-0 down within the first 20mins, chance to get back into the game with penalty missed from Reynolds and rebound off the bar. Plenty of chances to get back into the game but Stobswell experience showed in the final third and killed the game off.

Back to cup action this weekend as we take on reigning North of Tay champions Stobswell.

The two sides played eachother during pre season with Stobswell coming away comfortable winners. Ajax know they’ll have to perform better this time round to progress to the quarter finals.

Huge win tonight for Ajax with a comfortable 4-0 win against Broughty United. Ajax took an early lead with some nice build up play was finished off edge of the box by Reynolds. Unsure if the ball had went in, with it looking like it came off the post but no complaints from the Ajax side as ref gave it🤷‍♂️

Ajax quickly got the ball on the deck and another quick passing move led to Reynolds again finishing to put Ajax 2-0 up in the first 20mins.

Not long after it was 3-0 as Guthrie darted onto a through ball to send the keeper the wrong way.

Ht 3-0

Second half started in similar fashion, Broughty playing long balls which was being dealt with by centre backs Smith and Welsh.

Donald was then troubled making a few good saves to keep the clean sheet in tact.
Before Straun finally made his Ajax debut along with Nick coming on to freshen the attack up.

Game was then put to bed with 10mins to go as substitute Baillie scores with his second touch sending the keeper the wrong way and running to the corner flag in celebration.

Ft 4-0

Tremendous performance against one of the league challengers, every player stepped up tonight with only 3 defenders available and no short than 8 defenders unavailable it was a real team performance.

Motm could went to a few tonight but votes went to Greg Little, at the bright age of 39 slotted in left back and didn’t look out of place.

We now dust ourselves down before taking on Stobswell in the last 16 of the Adamson cup on Saturday.

Pick a different team each week to win, if your team wins you progress to the next round. If your team losses you’ll be eliminated.

This year the competition is done through an app called Whissol, once joined a code will be given to join the group and pick your team for the first week.

Winner receives 50% of the money, rest will be split between Forfar Ajax and Forfar West End to help with the runnings of the season.

The games don’t stop with another double header this week starting with Broughty United tomorrow night in the league opener.

Plenty lads familiar with Broughty having played against them in MAFA league last season with a lot of good battles.

After Saturdays victory and progressing to the next round of Adamson cup, all eyes are on the league campaign tomorrow against a side who will also will be looking to gain promotion this season.
