Another Freebird show, another night filled with talent, support, love, strength and just magic! ✨️ Our biggest show yet- but still could have watched you all for hours longer- thank you so much performers for the most amazing evening of entertainment. We laughed, cried, drooled, and gasped, and felt warmth, strength, individuality, joy and hope from all the goodness and creativity you brought to the stage, and fired back in the energy every person in attendance brought to the studio 🧡

Thank you audience for your endless cheers and good vibes 💛 Thank you Rachel for hosting with the most (ing) ✨️ Thank you instructors for filling the Freebirds full enough of confidence and skill to take to the stage 💖thank you EVERYONE who supported in any way, from set up, to tidy up; from lighting to support acting roles, from buying a ticket to asking how you could help at any time... you are truly all appreciated so much.
They say it takes a village to raise a Freebird show 😉🤭... and we are so lucky to have the best dang villagers around.

It's almost SHOWTIME AGAIN! 😁🥳 waaaaah and we can't wait til Saturday til a whole bunch of Freebirds get to show you what they've been working on! So much hard work is being put in as usual and we know it is going to be one heck of a night. Can't wait for more magical moments like these, and we're being hosted once again by the amazing Rachel-Marie Weiss, queen of the mic.

Not only silks- but we also have a complete beginners Pole course coming up on Tuesdays too!
☀️Tuesdays 8pm from 14th July, for 4 weeks!

Get started from the very basics, learn spins, twirls, shapes and climbs and have big giggles everywhere in between! We love getting folks started on their pole journey and are there to support you whatever your start point, no experience, strength or flexibility required.
Come and start your journey with a group of like minded folks, and guided by our lovely instructor Grace, and a week with Jenny too 💖

It's time for a fresh Aerial Silks Beginners course at Freebird!
☀️Starting Tuesday 30th of June at 8pm for 4 weeks.

Come and learn from the very basics- how to start wrapping and knotting your way into the air, and building the strength and technique to make some beautiful shapes and movements supported only by our beautiful silks! (And of course your wonderful instructor Rachel, and the cheers from the rest of your learning group!) No experience, flexibility or strength level required.

Moves will start lower to the ground while we get used to how the silks move and how you can move within them, and where the wraps need to be to hold you up! But you'll also learn climbs and holds to let you aim higher if you're comfortable! 💛

We have regular drop in classes through the week but to attend these, folks must have attended at least a beginners course like this- so here is your chance! Start on a new journey within this beautiful art form- and along the way get more strong, and surprise yourself finding new ways of moving you maybe never imagined!

You may have heard murmurings that we have some super cool aerial workshops coming to freebird in April... well, they were true 🥳 and we now have full details and bookings open for these 3 amazing workshops with the fantastical Freya Pellie !

Check the schedule for full details on each one including pre-requisites, more descriptions of what's included, how to pay, and some discounts for folks that want to book into more than one workshop! Woohoo!
You just know it's going to be a good time when one disclaimer reads: "flares are so insanely satisfying to teach and I will clap and whoop like a happy sea lion when you nail a new one."

We are also super excited to be welcoming Nicole regularly to the timetable!
Nicole is an amazing poler, mover, human and long time friend and runs in Perth too! But we are also lucky enough to benefit from her wealth of experience as she takes on our uni societies class, and our regular Intermediate pole class on a Wednesday and shares spin pole on Wednesdays with Jenny, starting next week!

She will also be taking a choreo (and the pole class before it) every second Friday of the month starting in February on the 13th! We are so excited to get to move with her on the regs!
