So proud of this girl today!! Lisa has grown in confidence with her lifting pushing boundaries after boundaries!! She smashed it on the platform yesterday showing what it means to be a strong woman !! Usually the biggest supporter but today stepped on the stage for us to cheer for her (not sure if we quite filled her boots 😂).

Gabriel has been doing powerlifting for a while now and has recently begun Olympic Weightlifting with us over the past few months and is doing amazing!

150kg deadlift and a 105kg back squat!! Can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this young man!

Athlete spotlight - Charlie 🏋️‍♀️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💪

Charlie on of our youth lifters and has been coming to sessions for a few months now. He has a background in powerlifting where he’s learnt great form in conventional lifts and his goal is to get a 100kg clean and jerk! Here are his impressive PBs!

Megan Taylor - Scottish Seniors Bronze 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏋️‍♀️🥉

Last weekend Megan represented HWC at Scottish Seniors in Dundee!
After a busy weekend of moving venues and changes of plans, Megan really pulled it out the bag for this comp regardless!!

Megan matched her clean and jerk PB with 85kg and a huge sn**ch of 68kg with a couple of attempts at some new masters records in the F40 71kg category! She fought for a bronze medal by 1kg!!

Well done Megan and thanks to and for hosting such a great competition and handling the events of the weekend so well!
