What a result for the Stirlingshire County Boys today! 👏⛳️

The boys took on Glasgow in the West of Scotland League and came away with an excellent 5–3 victory! 💪🏆

Stirlingshire Junior County Matchplay

⛳️The Stirlingshire Junior matchplay finals took place at Stirling Golf Club last night. Thanks to Stirling Golf Club for hosting. There was some fantastic golf on show. The results were as follows -

In the scratch section Thomas Kelly beat Louie Anderson 6&5. In the handicap section Johnnie Hood beat Olly Webster on the 18th green.

Firstly we would like to thank Stirling Golf Club for providing the venue for this years Stroke-Play and Matchplay competitions, the course was in superb condition for each round and we were also blessed with great weather throughout.

I would like to thank Fiona Kelly, Gary Cuthbertson, Gordon Graham and Alan D Cargill for their fantastic support and assistance.

Finally Congratulations go to Darren Murray of Grangemouth Golf Club who has won this years 2026 county matchplay, beating James Craig of Falkirk Tryst Golf Club in the final.

Our semi-finals are underway, who will make it to the finals, not the best weather we have had, but the course once again looks in great condition, thanks to Stirling Golf Club
