Unfortunately this morning we had to say goodbye to Ronnie . It was very unexpected and we are all still in shock . Too say the least he was a riding school superstar and tought so many children over the years. After telling my own children this morning , I honestly couldn’t bare telling anymore so please pass this message on to his riders who loved him as much as us ❤️x

There is a slight change of plan with the weather forecast and we have made the decision to cancel the car boot and move everything indoors. We have tried to get in touch with those originally booked in to the field but having troubles with messenger so please get in touch if you have any questions. 😊

The hall will be open to sellers from 9am so pop along any time from then to set up.

Calling All Future Cornets & Lasses!

Young people across Annan are being invited to saddle up for a fun-filled Horse Riding and Stable Skills Fun Afternoon as part of the Annan Riding of the Marches 80th anniversary celebrations.

Taking place on 4 and 11 August at Jenny Mills Riding School, Brydekirk, the free sessions are open to children aged 4–16 and will introduce participants to horse riding, stable skills and the traditions that are at the heart of the Riding of the Marches.

The Annan Riding of the Marches committee is delighted to offer this opportunity in conjunction with Dumfries & Galloway Council's Summer of Sport 2026 programme.

George Campbell, Joint Convener said: "We have been fortunate to be able to offer this fantastic opportunity in partnership with Dumfries & Galloway Council's Summer of Sport 2026 programme. We hope it inspires more young people to get involved with horses and our local traditions."

Places are limited. To apply, email [email protected] with your child's name, age, address and preferred date by 25 July. If oversubscribed, places will be allocated by ballot.
