📣 One marshal needed this Saturday!

A last-minute change means one of our volunteers can no longer make it, so we’re looking for one person to help marshal at parkrun this Saturday.

It’s one of the easiest and most rewarding jobs going. You’ll get plenty of encouragement from the runners, a great view of the event and you’ll be finished in time for a coffee afterwards.

If you can help us out, just drop a comment below or send me a message. We’d really appreciate it.

Thanks as always to this brilliant bunch of volunteers who make parkrun happen every single week. 👏

Levengrove parkrun Event number 252
Run Report

What a lovely morning we had for Levengrove parkrun #252! The rain stayed away, making for ideal running, walking and volunteering conditions.

This week we welcomed 130 participants, including 19 first-timers to Levengrove, with 14 people achieving new Personal Bests. Congratulations to everyone who took part!

We welcomed tourists from Manchester, USA, Isle of Lewis, Stoke on Trent and from Glasgow. We hope that you enjoyed your visit.

A huge thank you goes to our incredible team of 31 volunteers, who make parkrun possible every single week. Your enthusiasm and commitment are very much appreciated.

I'd also like to say a huge thank you to Kirsty, who was my Deputy Run Director at event, number 252 😅 She helped with pre event set up and first timers, dealing with an issue during the event and also helped afterwards. You were an enormous help and made the whole event run smoothly. Thank you!

We were also delighted to welcome Allan and the team from Cycling Without Age Scotland - Levengrove Park , who joined us before parkrun and stayed until the finish to showcase the fantastic work they do. Their volunteer service offers free trishaw rides around Levengrove Park for people who have mobility issues, helping everyone enjoy the outdoors and connect with the community. It was wonderful to have them with us, and we hope lots of people stopped by to find out more about this brilliant initiative.

A huge thank you to all of our fantastic pacers who volunteered their time this week to help others achieve their target times. Your encouragement and consistency make such a difference to so many participants.
A special mention goes to the members of Helensburgh Running Club, who not only paced brilliantly but also stepped in to help deal with an incident during the event - thanks Sarah. The club also helped afterwards in the Captain James Lang to sort the finish tokens. Your willingness to help wherever needed really sums up the spirit of parkrun, and it was hugely appreciated.

Congratulations to Kumar Dadi on reaching an unofficial 10 volunteer milestone—thank you for giving your time to parkrun.
Well done to our first finishers:

🥇 Samuel Banner – 17:54
🥇 Georgia Callander – 21:00

And a special mention to Jackie Theaker, who recorded the highest age grading of the day with an impressive 79.07%.

Finally, thank you to everyone who came along—whether you ran, walked, volunteered or cheered others on. It's your support and friendly atmosphere that make Levengrove parkrun such a special community.
Have a great week, and we'll see you all next Saturday for Event #253! 💙🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️☕

Our volunteer roster is now full – thank you everyone! 🦺💚

This means that we are now opening the roster for pacers for this Saturday the 11th of July.

It seems our beady eyed 👀 runners have already spotted the full roster, as we've had emails from volunteers keen to pace at 22, 25, 27, 28, 30 and 31 minutes 😳

If you'd like to pace, let us know – we'd love to have you help others achieve their goals!
