Crew members needed!

We're looking for a few more people to join our team of race marshals / volunteers on Dramathon Day (17th October, in 4 weeks BTW).

In addition to the usual goodies (crew tshirt, lunch, maybe a dram or two) and our heartfelt gratitude, you'll also be first in the queue for a race spot next year.

Every year the runners say how much they love our marshals - join the fun!

Update on The Dramathon weekend events :

Friday 16th October

Registration held in The Mortlach Memorial Hall, Dufftown from 2pm to 5pm.

This year we're delighted to welcome back The Scotch Malt Whisky Society UK who will be offering samples of their very fine cask-strength whiskies during registration. SMWS bottles and memberships will also be available for sale.

Then get yourselves down to the Royal British Legion in Dufftown for 'Drams with Diego" - a whisky tasting led by Diego Borrás. You’ll taste some of the whiskies you'll encounter on the route plus the odd surprise and meet some of your fellow runners. Frankly, a lot more fun than a bowl of pasta.

Tickets should be bought in advance on our Entry Central page. £22 a head for four (and a bit) drams. Strictly over 18s only. Open to runners and non-runners alike (Driver's Drams will be available). Doors open at 5.45pm and tasting starts at 6pm. Event ends at 7.30pm

MILES & MALTS WHISKY TASTING WITH DINNER AT THE CRAIGELLACHIE HOTEL

The Scotch Malt Whisky Society will be hosting a food and whisky pairing in the very splendid Hotel, home of the world-famous Quaich Bar. Please note there are only a very limited number of tickets available for this event.

If you've got anything left in your legs you can dance the night away with The Dandy Ceilidh Band. The Ceilidh is held in Craigellachie Village Hall. Doors open at 7pm. Tickets are £22. Strictly over 18s only. Bookings via email : [email protected] or via their FB page Craigellachie FC

Still looking for accommodation? The Delnashaugh has some rooms available. Great wee hotel and very handy for both Ballindalloch Distillery and Glenfarclas. Quite a few runners staying there already so you'll be in good company 🙂 (and the bar has a very decent selection of drams...)

Aye, even more whisky. All you marathon runners will receive a very fine single cask whisky miniature bottled by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society UK. The SMWS is a global whisky club which celebrates endless discovery of whisky, friends and fun - so the perfect partner for The Dramathon. The SMWS team will be doing a tasting during registration on the Friday then running the We Dram. Slainte !

We normally do a post a 100 days before Race Day. But there's actually 105 days to go and we're being dead clever and using it as an excuse to celebrate Glenfarclas 105. Amazing dram, first ever Cask Strength whisky made available to the (unsuspecting) public and comes in at an eye-popping 60% ABV. You might want to add a splash of water to this one. 😋

Let's hear it for this year's guest sponsor, The Glenturret Distillery Here they are lined up, whisky in hand, or sprinting to the 'Glenfinish' line last year. Watch out, they're fast in Perthshire.

And for anyone driving up from Edinburgh or Glasgow on their way to Speyside, The Glenturret would be a great stop off for a distillery tour. Just saying.
