Palmer Pairs

14 pairs took to the green yesterday for the Palmer Pairs. The rain made an appearance in the morning, as it likes to do, but thankfully behaved itself for the competition!

A great day of bowling and a fitting way to bring the season to a close.

The raffle raised a fantastic Ā£208, which will be donated to Strathcarron Hospice.

A big thank you to the Palmer family and the ladies for organising the buffet, Paul for keeping everyone watered at the bar, and the greenkeepers for all their hard work throughout the season.

Thanks to everyone who played, helped out and came along. A cracking way to finish the season!

Unfortunately, due to the lovely Scottish weather, no games took place for the last Hat Night of the season

The presentation did still go ahead, though, and the winner of the Gareth Williams Shield for 2026 was Sarah Douglas-Munn, with the shield presented by Anne Dalgleish.

Well done Sarah!

PALMER PAIRS / CLOSING DAY

Please arrive in plenty of time so we can get the draw done and get underway at 1pm.

There will also be a raffle on the day, with all proceeds going to Strathcarron Hospice.

Everyone is welcome! Whether youā€™re playing, supporting or just coming along for a catch-up, weā€™d love to see you at the club as we bring the season to a close.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a great day, especially all our visitors who travelled along to take part.

A big thank you as well to the ladies in the kitchen for keeping everyone fed, Susan behind the bar, the greenkeepers as the green played well despite the wet conditions and to Roy for doing the scores and keeping the bell ringing!

And finally, a fantastic Ā£2,000 was raised for Strathcarron Hospice, which has already been donated.

Thanks again to everyone who supported the day. It was brilliant to see the club busy and everyone enjoying themselves.
