Whilst every game for the club today was cancelled by the weather, the 2nd XI have as a result of a brilliant year been confirmed for their promotion this year! Josh Craven has seen the 2s go back to back from D4 to D2, bridging the gap between 1st and 2nd team: Congratulations to all of the players that have contributed and go well next year!

We are sorry to inform you all that Mike Timmins passed away on Thursday 13th August. Pam and the family were with him at the end and we send them all our best. Mike was a Dorridge stalwart as, captain, player, tour organiser, committee member and much more.

Mike’s funeral will take place on Wednesday 9th September 2pm at Robin Hood Crematorium.
Pam and the family extend an invitation to all cricket club members past and present to attend followed by refreshments back at Dorridge CC.
It is hoped that as many friends and players young and not so young will come along and help celebrate the life of this stalwart of the club.

An excellent spell from Oscar Henrick saw the 2nd XI maintaining their position in the promotion battle. Oscar took 5 wickets, going for only 47 off his 12 overs. Oscar was well supported by Ethan Plain getting 60, leaving the 2s with a 4 wicket win.

Big congratulations to DCC’s Ayan Khan, who has been selected to participate in this years ‘Super 4s’ tournament - a prestigious event for some of the top cricketers aged 17 and below! Ayan has played for DCC since U11 & through all 4 senior teams. We wish Ayan all the best in his next steps as a young cricketer. Well done AK!💙💛

Massive thank you to Joey Conlin, our 2nd XI overseas who came over to travel & played every week, leaving us in 1st place in the 2s league!
James Driscoll has taken 4fer 2 weeks on the bounce (if you haven’t heard!).

DCC are proud to be hosting Saqib Bhatti & Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst in a charity match on Sunday 30th August, supporting the Cameron Grant Memorial Trust. Please come and support the day, with lots of familiar faces set to appear!

Congratulations to our 1st on reaching the ECB T20 Cup National Semi Final following a 78 run win vs Woolpit Cricket Club Ladies today!
