The club is based in Piddlehinton and plays in Dorset and Wilts Division 2 (South), where we play competitive, aggressive rugby. All standards are welcome at the club so please come along to training on a Tuesday or Thursday, or see our website for more details. The club is proud to support Prostate Action UK. 👑KINGMAN CUP👑

After the boys resolute defence of Greenfields, we swap the heaven of Dorset for the Hell of Somerset.

With a bus to transport the troops, the villagers turn to pirates to finish off pre-season with a successful away trip. Somerton is a hard game away, expect a brutal encounter with test-match intensity.

The Kingman cup is a traditional fixture to honour a man who represented both sides, Mark Kingman. We pay our respects and remember him. The real spoils are won in the third-half, expect a few boat races and silly games…

World Su***de Prevention Day is a reminder, but looking after the people around us shouldn’t be limited to one day a year.

It’s about getting yourself to training, checking in with a teammate, having that extra conversation or simply making sure someone knows you’re there.

There is always more we can do. Today, tomorrow and every day after.

Rugby is about more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about the people beside you.

Look after your mates. Check in. Listen. Be there.

🌱 THE FUTURE OF DORSET WOMEN’S RUGBY 🏉

We were proud to welcome the D&W U16 DPP Girls to Greenfields for their first session of the season last night.

The next generation of Dorset women’s rugby is looking strong and we’re delighted to play our part in giving them a place to learn, develop and enjoy the game.

We look forward to welcoming them back to Puddle next week for their assessment session.

Last weekend saw our golf enthusiasts take the course in what can only be described as a terrible advert for amateur golf. A good day out was had with the classic highs and lows that a game of WHACK (f**k) can produce.

Followed by some very natural hydration. Thank goodness the lads are useless and will have to play rugby at the club for the rest of their lives.

The Somerset Raiding Party came, they saw, they tried their luck… but the Parish held firm. 🐀

A clean sheet against the Tock invasion and 19 points put past Crewkerne.

👑KING OF THE PARISH👑

Tonight we’re hosting a Somerset Raiding Party consisting of Martock Rugby Club (EST. 1992) and Crewkerne Rugby Club.

In what is a pre-season fixture and “free hit”- personal pride is on the line. We’re there beautiful South and they’re the scary North with bizarre accents and things called “breadcakes”.

Come one down and enjoy a pint and some ultimate rugby.
