🎣 CHARITY AUCTION – WIN A WEEK IN A FIREfly HOLIDAY LODGE! 🎣

Back in 2018 and 2019, we held fishing matches in aid of a fantastic local cancer charity, Firefly. Some of you may remember Firefly from their appearance on the TV programme The Secret Millionaire back in 2006.

Firefly provide vital transport for people in and around the Doncaster area who are undergoing cancer treatment.

They currently have 14 vehicles on the road, ably led by “Chewy” and supported by an amazing team of volunteers. The charity relies solely on donations to keep this incredible service running.

Earlier this year, two of our current members unfortunately had to undergo cancer treatment. This really brought home to us just how important Firefly’s work is, so we decided to hold the match once again to help raise some much-needed funds for this fabulous charity. ❤️

🏡 AUCTION LOT – ONE WEEK IN A FIREfly HOLIDAY LODGE

As well as our other auction lots, we are delighted to be auctioning the chance to stay in a Firefly holiday lodge at Country Meadows Holiday Park, Skegness.

The winning bidder will receive:

* 🗓️ A full week between March and November 2027
* 🚫 Excludes August
* 📅 Dates and availability to be arranged directly with Firefly
* 🚭 Strictly no smoking
* 🐾 No pets

The no-smoking and no-pets rules are particularly important as the lodges are also used throughout the year by patients who use the Firefly service.

💰 STARTING BID: £200

The auction will end this Sundayy, 30th August at 18:00.

Full payment will be due on the day the auction closes.

How would you like the chance to fish for one of the 120 x 30s and 17 x 40s that reside in Langholme Lake? If so, read on!

In 2018 and 2019 we held a match in aid of a local cancer charity, Firefly. They featured on "The Secret Millionaire" programme aired on TV in 2006.
Firefly provide transport for people local to the Doncaster area that undergoing cancer treatment.

Firefly currently have 14 vehicles on the road ably lead by "Chewy" and a team of volunteers, they survive solely through donations.

After two of our current members had to undergo treatment for cancer earlier this year we decided to hold the match once again.

So, I am offering the chance for one person to do a 48 hour session on Langholme Lake at a date of their choice.
I will also provide 5 kg of lake bait and 10 kg of pellet to the winner.

The auction will end this Saturday 15th August at 18:00. Full payment is due prior to Friday 28th August 2026.

Langholme is a technically difficult lake and so please only bid if you are an experienced angler.
