Podium finishes became a family affair for Mum, Laura Grice, and her daughter, Natasha Grice this weekend! Both came second in their classes at Frickley!
Natasha qualifying for the 2027 Badminton Grassroots BE100 Championships and after lending her mum her horse who wasn’t due to compete at Frickley, her mum also pulled a second place out the bag!
Well done Natasha and Laura, what a special weekend for you and your connections! Best of luck for next season, fingers crossed it’s second at Badminton too! 🎉

The results are in for the Throstlenest Saddlery Arena Eventing!
It was a competitive day over at the Arena Eventing arena yesterday. The courses looked great, the new fences rode really well but there wasn’t room for error - having a pole in the show jumping phase, a stop during the cross country element or just picking up a couple of time penalties was all very influencial to the final scoreboard for each section!
The competition was also a qualifier for the Eland National Hunter Trials Championships in September!

Pippa Tierney won the UVEX Frickley Cup BE80 RCNQ class riding her own Doe Bertie!
She held the lead from start to finish putting in a foot perfect performance finishing on her dressage score of 31.9!
We caught up with her just after she’d been presented with her UVEX winners cheque by Charlie Warde-Aldam, the owner of Frickley Park, and completed two her own champions lap of honour with her winners rug on!

Although a british eventing fixture, we also host two exciting days of unaffiliated competition, show jumping on Saturday and arena eventing on Sunday!
The Hilton Herbs Minimus competition was a great success in the morning for our younger jockeys; the HorseHage and Mollichaff 70-100cm competition followed in the International Arena in front of Frickley Hall! This ran as both an individual and team competition!

The UVEX Frickley Cup riders all passed trot up yesterday morning then headed into reverse order show jumping.
The show jumping track proved influential and saw lots of changes in the leaderboard as final placings were decided and our winners crowned!

Shona came and collected her YETI Bun Run volunteer prize!
Shona is a long standing volunteer who has been coming to Frickley to volunteer for over 10 years! Shona has MS and is no longer able to compete. After she was diagnosed she decided that she would, as all of our lovely volunteers do, selflessly give up her time to volunteer instead so that others could continue to enjoy the sport!
Did you know that we need over 250 volunteers EVERY DAY to ensure that the competition can run!? 😮

Ideal Financial Management CCI-S 3* has drawn to a close today after an influencial show jumping and cross country day following on from two days of dressage.
It was a family affair on the podium today with Yasmin Ollson-Payne, who was in second overnight moving up to take first place and finish on her dressage score of 30.8 riding Cos Me Will.
Hector Payne finished second, clear show jumping and just a couple of time penalties to add cross country riding Mr and Mrs Skinner’s, Mr and Mrs Hall & Mr and Mrs Payne’s Hidalgo.
In third, Anya Strilkowski riding Just the Biscuit owned by David Howden and Carl Shuker.
