🚨 BENTLEY ARLFC FUN DAY – POSTPONED 🚨

💙💛 NEW DATE TO BE CONFIRMED SHORTLY 💛💙

We’re absolutely gutted to have to share this, but due to the unpredictable weather conditions, we have made the difficult decision to postpone tomorrow’s Bentley ARLFC Fun Day.

A huge part of the day is our 5 giant inflatables, which we have worked hard to make FREE for all the children to enjoy. Unfortunately, with the conditions forecast, we cannot guarantee that they can be operated safely.

The safety of everyone attending has to come first, and rather than go ahead knowing that some of the main attractions may not be able to run, we want to move the event to another date and give everyone the Fun Day we’ve been planning. 💙

💛 The club will still be open from 11am for anyone who wants to join us 💛

We also want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has put so much time and effort into organising the day – our events committee, volunteers, coaches, parents, everyone who has donated prizes and supplies, and all the businesses and people who had agreed to support us on the day. A huge amount of work has gone on behind the scenes and we really do appreciate every single bit of it. 👏💛

MATCH REPORT | Bentley 18–22 Milford

The final game of the season was always going to be an emotional one, with Head Coach Andy Whitfield taking charge for the final time.

Unfortunately, the opening 40 minutes didn’t go to plan. Milford started strongly and Bentley struggled to find their rhythm, going into half-time 22–0 down.

Whatever was said at the break certainly worked.

Bentley came out with a completely different attitude and intensity. The defence tightened up, confidence grew and the boys began to put Milford under serious pressure.

🏉 Jordan Middleton got the comeback underway after some excellent team play, with Kieran Lewis converting.

Jordan then crossed for his second of the afternoon, again converted by Kieran, bringing Bentley back to 22–12.

The momentum was firmly with Bentley when a clever grubber kick from Jack Craswell created the opportunity for Ryan Craswell to score. Kieran added his third conversion to make it 22–18.

From 22–0 down at half-time, Bentley were suddenly within touching distance of an incredible comeback. The boys continued to push, but Milford managed to hold on until the final whistle.

🏆 Man of the Match – Ryan Craswell

A frustrating result, but a second-half performance full of character, determination and fight from a depleted squad.

This season has been about building for the future, bringing youth through and giving younger players valuable experience. There have been challenges along the way, but there is plenty to build on going forward.

Finally, a huge thank you to Andy Whitfield for everything he has given to the team. It wasn’t the final result everyone wanted, but the foundations he has helped build will continue to benefit this group long after his final game in charge. 🏉

What a great performance to end the league season for our under 16’s girls tonight a convincing 6-40 win over in dewsbury , with the game been called early for an injury to one of the opposition. Speedy recovery to the dewsbury girl and a great season had by our girls who finish the league in second place 💙💛
