Our Day Centre is closed today for the Bank Holiday 💜

But our support doesn’t stop! 🥰 Our wonderful Befrienders are still out in the community today, spending time with their clients, getting out and about, enjoying activities and making sure nobody feels alone.

💛 When a Befriender Becomes a Friend 💛

At Inspire, we believe that befriending is about so much more than simply providing support. It’s about building genuine relationships, trust and friendship 🥰

What might start as a few hours of companionship can grow into a real friendship built on laughter, trust, kindness and shared experiences ☕️🌳🎶

Our befrienders become familiar faces that clients look forward to seeing, and those friendships can make such a meaningful difference to someone’s week.

This month, we’re celebrating two amazing members of our befriending team, who have both received fantastic feedback from social workers. 💜

✨ Fiona has been praised for the incredible support she provides to clients with complex needs. Her patience, understanding and dedication help clients feel supported, valued and listened to✨

Shakeela has gone above and beyond to support a lady through her move into a care home, helping make a difficult transition a little easier. Most importantly, Shakeela has continued to support her, showing that befriending doesn’t stop when circumstances change 💕

We’re so proud of the difference you both make. Your kindness, compassion and commitment are exactly what befriending is all about. 🥰

At Inspire, our relationship between clients and befrienders is built on kindness, patience, understanding and consistency ❤️

For many of the people we support, that trusted relationship can make such a difference, whether it’s enjoying a cup of tea, going out for an activity, sharing a laugh or simply knowing there is someone there who genuinely cares 🥰

And that’s something we’re incredibly proud of at Inspire 💙
