⛳ All-Ireland Final Awaits Suzy & Kerry! ⭐

Having progressed through the local and regional qualifying stages, Suzy & Kerry are heading to County Longford Golf Club this weekend to compete in the Australian Spoons All-Ireland Final on Monday, 24th August.

The pair are no strangers to the national stage, having also qualified for last year’s All-Ireland Final in Longford. They’ll enjoy a practice round on Sunday before teeing it up for the final on Monday.

Competing against pairs from clubs across Ireland, Suzy and Kerry are looking forward to proudly representing Donaghadee and giving it their very best! ⛳

The big day is almost here! Our Barton Shield team head to Shandon Park Golf Club on Wednesday 26th August for the All Ireland Finals. ⛳

Club members Anne Campbell, Jenny McGaughey and Wendy McNay qualified at Clandeboye Golf Club (Dufferin Course) to play in the Senior Women’s Golf Society All Ireland Team Event Final, which was held at Newlands Golf Club, Dublin on 10th August.🏌️‍♀️

Our ladies put in a great performance and, while they didn’t make the winners’ rostrum, they finished comfortably in the top half of the field. 👏⭐

🏆⛳ Triple Crown for Our Club Captain! ⛳🏆

As previously posted, our Club Captain, Mervyn Humphreys, successfully qualified last month for the Northern Ireland NHS Golf Team. 👏

Last week, he travelled with the 12-man team to Carden Park Resort in Cheshire, which hosted this year’s NHS Four Nations Golf Classic. Following a practice round on Sunday, the team faced a tough schedule over the next two days, consisting of two 9-hole sessions and two 18-hole sessions on the resort’s two challenging golf courses. 🏌️‍♂️☀️

With all players’ scores counting, the competition was made even more demanding by the rock hard, burnt fairways and temperatures in the low 30s.🔥

Over the two tiring days of competition, the Northern Ireland players produced an outstanding all-round team performance to run out comfortable winners by 85 points, successfully defending their title. 🏆💪

Congratulations to the Northern Ireland team on another fantastic victory, and in particular to Mervyn, who has now been a member of this winning team for three consecutive years in Scotland, Wales and England. 🎉👏

A fantastic achievement and a very proud moment for our Club Captain - three years, three victories, and a remarkable NHS Four Nations Golf Classic hat-trick! 💚⛳

There was a buzz at the club today as the juniors took part in the Junior Captains’ Day Competition. What a day was had! Competition cards, longest and straightest drives, nearest to the pin AND ice cream!

A HUGE shout out and thanks to the families of our captains, to the amazing volunteers who have helped all through the summer, to the bar staff and caterers and to all the fabulous golfers in the junior section ~ what a day!
