Day 4
Kennilworth to Stow on the Wold

Now in Stow on The Wold, staying at The Stag at Stow another delightful find, the wood burner aglow, ready for food and a glass of wine, it’s been another great day. By way of castles, Shakespeare’s land and the very beautiful historic town of Warwick. The lanes not quite so ā€œlostā€ today, very countryside very much a horse affair. The villages of Pillerton Piers, Idlicote and Honnington particularly perfect in every way and the miles in between - well now I understand the term landed gentry!!! Quite remarkable how long 40 miles is laden with weight. Gives one plenty of time to look at the view. The weather is perfect, our rests well timed and so it goes. I think we have some of Warwickshires finest. .travel has routed us well šŸ˜„

Day 3.. by way the of lost lanes, through picturesque middle England villages particularly Shackerstone, Shenton, the occasional gravel path that’s sucks the life out of both bike and rider, canal paths offering stunning reflections that nicely circumnavigate the cities that would be otherwise be difficult and argument lending to navigate. Now sitting in the delightful bar of The Old Bakery, Kenilworth, reflecting on a throughly enjoyable day it has been.

Day 2 … Buxton to Repton, Derbyshire. What a difference a day makes. The weather was fantastic on the White Peak Trail then on the Tissington Trail through Ashbourne finally to Repton. Prep for tomorrow’s ride to Kenilworth.
