PAWmula 1 Flyball

🐾🏁 Driffield Weekend! 🏁🐾

We headed up to Driffield this weekend for a lovely, chilled competition hosted by the brilliant Rockin’ Flyball Teams

Maggie, Nellie, Max and Peppa made up our team on Saturday, with poor Luna having to sit this one out and cheer us on from the side of the ring due to a minor injury. Nevertheless we had a great day of racing, with some really enjoyable and close races, which resulted in finishing the day with a 🥉 3rd place! 🎉

It wasn’t all about the racing though! We enjoyed a great pub meal together on Saturday evening, then rounded off the weekend with a wander around the Driffield Sunday Farmers Market with our dogs, which was also in the Showground where we were camping before heading home.

A huge thank you again to Rockin for hosting such a friendly and welcoming competition, and to the judges, ring parties and all the teams we raced alongside for such an enjoyable weekend.

Next up… the B4B competition at Darley Moor next weekend!🐾

Rossi’s little brother and definitely his own character! 😂 He’s taking a little break from flyball and having some fun with agility for a while, but we still wish him the very best birthday! 🧡💙🩶 🎂🐾

It was also great to see a few experienced Flyballers getting their canine athletes a little Flyball fix while taking some time off and enjoying the Festival. 😎🐾

What a weekend!

We absolutely loved being part of the Dog Lovers Music Festival this weekend! 🐾🎶

We ran our Have a Go Flyball, put on a few demos with our own dogs to show everyone how the sport works, and had a brilliant time meeting so many amazing dogs and their lovely owners.

It wasn’t all Flyball, though! We also had some downtime to enjoy the amazing weather, took a few walks around the castle with our dogs and soaked up the atmosphere of the Festival. ☀️🐾

It was fantastic to introduce people to Flyball and hopefully inspire a few future Flyball stars along the way!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, had a go and made it such a fun weekend. We loved every minute of it! 🧡💙🩶

One of the original PAWmula 1 die hards and someone who has been there pretty much from the beginning — and quite frankly, we’re not sure what we’d do without you! 😂

You’re pretry much always there at comps, running Rossi, camping, sorting entries, organising and making club awards, making cakes and generally getting involved in anything and everything that needs doing. Basically, if something needs sorting, creating, organising or remembering at P1, there’s a good chance Amy is involved! 😂

You’re a massive part of what makes the club what it is, and we’re lucky to have someone so committed, reliable and willing to throw herself into all the madness with us.

We're delighted to welcome the fantastic Pawmular1 Flyball Team to this year's Dog Lovers Festival for the first time!

They will be running their exciting Have-a-Go Flyball area on both Saturday and Sunday, giving you and your dog the chance to experience one of the UK's fastest and most exciting canine sports.

Best of all, it's completely FREE to take part! Whether your dog is a seasoned speedster or trying flyball for the very first time, everyone is welcome to join in.

Cheer on the dogs and then grab your own four-legged friend and have as many goes as you like throughout the weekend. It's great fun, a fantastic confidence booster, and guaranteed to leave tails wagging! 🐶💨

Don't forget to take photos as the best photo of the weekend wins a free weekend pass for 4 to next years event. 📸🐾

The long-suffering wife of the captain… and quite possibly the most patient woman in flyball. 😂

For the last couple of years, you’ve put up with disappearing off to training and competitions, spending big money on ridiculous flyball stuff, and generally letting him get away with murder… all while staying home to look after the non flyballing dogs. 😂

You might not be at every competition or training session, but your support behind the scenes makes a massive difference.

Thank you for putting up with all of it, supporting us, and letting Mr Captain pursue his various flyball obsessions.

Another milestone for our boy Rossi and his mum Amy 🐾

He recently collected his BFA 3,000 Points Flyball Dog Graduate Award — and he’s having one hell of a strong season so far - one of the clubs most solid performers! 🔥

Who’d have thought a few years ago that the bloke who “wasn’t interested in flyball” would actually end up getting involved and becoming one of the team?! 😂

His main role at the moment seems to be keeping Lindsey’s flyball spending vaguely under control… although, judging by the results, you’re absolutely bloody useless at it. 😂💸🐕

Always good for a laugh, always there to lighten the mood, and genuinely one of the people we love having around the team.
