The D40 travelled to Firwood Bootle cc, to face Lancashire on 26th July.
A fantastic game with a very welcoming opposition. The game made it clear we have made great progress as a team, and we'll keep growing and learning for the next season and beyond.

🚨 DERBYSHIRE EEP 2026/27 Closes on the 30th!🚨
The Derbyshire Early Engagement Programme (EEP) 2026/27 is delivered by the Derbyshire Cricket Foundation in partnership with Derbyshire County Cricket Club
Designed for boys and girls aged 9–12, the EEP is a fun, inclusive and developmental programme that helps young players build the skills, confidence and game awareness they need to progress on their cricket journey.
⭐ Build confidence
🏏 Develop fundamental cricket skills
💪 Grow resilience and game awareness
🎯 Access high-quality coaching
🏆 Experience competitive development fixtures
🚀 Identify and support talented players progressing towards the U13 County Age Group pathway
📍 4 centres across Derbyshire
👧👦 U10, U11 & U12 boys and girls
🆓 FREE observation sessions
📅 Observations take place in September 2026
⏰ Register by Sunday 30th August 2026
Players who progress through the observation stages will have the opportunity to join the winter training programme before moving into summer match play in 2027.
You don’t need lots of cricket experience to attend. The EEP is designed as an entry point into the pathway, and hardball experience isn't essential.
Children involved in the programme during 2026 do not need to register for Stage 1 observations

The Falcons Leadership Academy is up and running, with The OurCoop County ground hosting our biggest Summer Leadership Camp yet.👏
It was fantastic to use our Pitch-Side DCF Classroom for the Level 1 Sports Leadership Qualification and a First Aid Certificate!
Learners also had the chance to head to the field for some pairs cricket gameplay to understand the different roles involved in running Cricket activities.
