Derby Hockey Club’s Club Day is approaching in preparation for the 26/27 season! Open to everyone new or old, including those considering joining the club! So come on down on Saturday 5th September for a day of games!

With pre-season training already nearly over, here are our set training times for the upcoming season. With the ever impressive growing numbers of players, we’ve had to book two different pitches for the men’s and women’s training to make sure we have room for everyone! With our new coaches at the helm, we can’t wait to get started with this new season of hockey!

And now for our new women’s coaches, players Paul Allen and Chris Hall have taken over the coaching this season for the ladies’ section, becoming a dynamic duo to push our ladies up the leagues!

Our next announcement for the upcoming season sees the introduction of our new experienced men’s coach and 1s player Jamie Cooper! We can’t wait to see how Jamie gets our boys playing as we see our training sessions get a big boost!

We are officially back! After a long summer of lounging about, getting sun burnt and complaining about the never-ending heatwave we finally make a return to hockey as our pre-season training starts... tomorrow! So pick up your stick and fish out the shin pads. We just need to know... will you be there?

Introducing Derby Hockey Club’s brand new badge! We have quietly behind the scenes been having a visual overhaul with more great things to come for the 26/27 season… so keep an eye on the socials for more!

A big thanks to for helping design the badge with the help of the voluntary design committee and the suggestions of the club member’s initial designs to help come up with this finalised badge after an combination of ideas. We wanted a refresh of the DHC badge as we wished to make it more personal to the club and the city. We hope you like it as much as do!

We are looking for women’s goalkeepers to join us at Derby Hockey Club! With 4 established teams and a growing womens side, we would love to see you inbetween the posts for either your first or your 100th time! Whether you’re new or experienced, get in contact and we’ll have you kitted up and involved as soon as possible!

Over the last two weeks we’ve seen our mixed squad attend Ashfield Aztecs’ and Bloxwich HC’s mixed tournaments. We’ve seen some great results and sounds like they’ve had a great time doing it despite the scorching heat!

And part 2 from our EOS dinner awards sees the men’s winners as we finally say goodbye to the 25/26 season. Well done once again to all the winners!
