💛 A huge thank you to Shaz & Mandy! 💛

After many years of supporting us at shows, volunteering their own weekends and helping to keep everything running smoothly - including making sure the office was open and welcoming on those early, often very nervous, show mornings - Shaz and Mandy have officially hung up their office hats! 🥹

We are so incredibly grateful for all the time, help and support they have given us over the years. We know so many of you have looked forward to seeing their friendly faces when arriving for a show, and they will be very much missed around the show office. 🫶🏼

Of course, their departure leaves a huge gap in our team, and it’s a good reminder of just how much our shows rely on the amazing people who give up their own time to help make them happen.

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering with us, we’d absolutely love to hear from you! There are lots of different ways you can get involved, and no matter how much or how little time you can offer, your help really does make a difference. 🐴

And we’ll always make sure our volunteers are kept well fed and watered! ☕️ 🍔 Plus, we can offer individual or clinic arena hire in exchange for your time and commitment.

🎓✨ CELEBRATING THE CLASS OF 2026! ✨🎓

Yesterday was a monumental day as our Higher Education students officially graduated at the University of Derby!

The HE team could not be prouder of these incredible individuals.

From their very first lecture to walking across the graduation stage, these students have shown outstanding dedication, resilience, and passion for their subjects.

Balancing assignments, practical work, and life's demands is no small feat, and seeing their hard work culminate in such a well-deserved achievement was a truly special moment.

They haven't just earned their degrees, they have built a brilliant foundation for the future, and it has been an absolute privilege to support them along the way.

Congratulations to our wonderful graduates. We look forward to watching them make their mark on the world!

Today, we attended the annual Derby College Living the Values Awards, where our very own Equine Technician, Lilie, was recognised for her Kindness & Optimism.

We couldn’t be prouder of you, Lilie – this award is so well deserved! 💙 Your positivity, patience, and dedication make a real difference to both our students and colleagues every single day.

Her nomination read:

“Lilie consistently brings a positive and energetic presence to the yard, regardless of how challenging the day may be – even in the depths of winter. Her unwavering optimism supports and uplifts her colleagues, helping to maintain a motivated and encouraging environment. She teaches with enthusiasm and passion, and wherever she is working, the sound of students laughing is never far away. Lilie’s outlook and approach truly demonstrate to her students what a positive professional working attitude looks like. In addition, she has the patience of a saint, paired with exceptional kindness. She always goes above and beyond to support her students, and even if it is the 500th time she is demonstrating a task, she does so with the same level of patience, care, and encouragement.”
