Well, County trials turned out to be an interesting one 😅
I was actually the only one who turned up, so they took my details and said they’ll discuss things in a team meeting before making a decision.
Now it’s just a waiting game ⏳
With the season starting in April, I imagine I should hear something fairly soon.
I’ll share an update when I know more 👀

Let’s look ahead to this evening’s match 🎱
It’s been a real up-and-down season so far, and now we’re heading into the final stretch with six games left.
After taking over captaincy of the Woodville Box Club B team last season and just missing out on promotion, the team ended up going through a big change — with players moving on, I was close to letting the team fold altogether.
But after a move over to Potters and bringing in a fresh group of lads, I decided to keep things going.
We actually started the season really strong, but in recent weeks we’ve hit a tough run of form. It’s been a mix of bad luck at key moments and some costly individual decisions that have seen frames slip away.
Tonight, we’re up against Spot On — a strong side currently sitting 12 points above us in the promotion places, so it’s going to be a tough test 💪
We’ll need a strong finish to the season to avoid relegation, which was always the main goal this year — especially considering most of the lads are new to league pool or have very limited experience.
In the reverse fixture, we came up short (I think it was 4-3 or 5-2), but I do remember pulling off one of my best clearances in the singles — so I know what I’m capable of on my day.
As a team, we all know we’ve got the ability — it’s just about delivering it on the night when it matters most.
They’re a great bunch of lads as well, so looking forward to a good game and hopefully we can get that much-needed win 🙌
I’ve added the current league table and tonight’s fixtures below ⬇️
I’ll update you later with a match summary after the game 🔥

A bit of a personal one today…
Last season I had the opportunity to play County pool for the Notts B side after being invited by their captain at a tournament.
It was a great experience, but going into a team where everyone already knew each other and had that connection from playing together, I found it really tough to settle in.
I never quite felt part of the group, and as a result my confidence took a hit. In the end, I made the decision to step away for the second half of the season.
I came back for the last game of the season against Derbyshire, won 3 out of my 4 games, and it reminded me how much I actually missed playing County. But I also knew I needed to take a step back and really think about what was right for me.
So with that said… today I’m heading to County trials for Derbyshire after being given permission to trial elsewhere, with the option of making a move.
There’s been a big change there over the closed season — new management, new venue, and matches now being played at Ballroom Pool Club & Bar on top standard Ultimate Pool professional tables.
It’s an exciting setup and a fresh opportunity.
I’m not putting any pressure on myself. No expectations — just going to go in, enjoy it, and let whatever happens, happen.
I’ve got a league match tonight as well, so I’ll update you all either later this evening or tomorrow morning on how it goes 🙌

Quick little update on where I’m currently playing 🎱
At the moment, Sundays are spent in the Burton & District Pool League where I captain Potters & Missers. We’re competing in Division B, which sits right in the middle of the league with three divisions above us and three below — a great level to keep pushing and improving 💪
On Monday nights, I’m playing for Littleover Social Club in the Derby Licensed Premises League, competing in Division One.
This season also brings a couple of new challenges…
Wednesdays will see me reunited with one of my closest mates as I’ve signed for South Stapenhill Social Club A, playing in the bottom division of the Burton & District Pool League — really looking forward to that one 🙌
And on Thursdays, I’ll be turning out for Allestree RBL C. Fixtures haven’t been released yet, so we’re still waiting to find out which division we’ll be in.
Plenty of pool, plenty of opportunities to learn, and a big chance to keep developing my game across different leagues and levels 🔥
Looking forward to getting started properly and seeing how the season unfolds!

Hey everyone 👋
I thought it was about time I properly reintroduce this page and share where I’m at…
I took a step back from the pool scene for a while to focus on my education, but honestly… I missed it more than I expected 🎱
So this year, I’ve made the decision to come back and really try to balance both — putting time into my studies while also taking my pool more seriously.
That means getting involved in more tournaments and events, pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and using those experiences to improve my game.
Right now, there’s no big end goal or pressure. This is all about:
🎱 Building my confidence
🎱 Growing my self-belief
🎱 Learning more about myself
🎱 And developing my game step by step
Stay tuned as over the coming weeks I’ll be sharing updates on what I’ve been working on so far, while also keeping you up to date with any achievements, tournaments, and events as they happen 🙌
I just want to enjoy the journey, stay consistent, and see where it takes me.
If you want to follow along, I’d really appreciate the support — it genuinely means a lot 💙
Let’s do this 🔥

After a week off last week the season resumes tonight with only three games to go. Currently with a six point advantage the league is in our own hands. Win our remaining matches and we seal back to back promotions as champions. Tonight we travel to 6th place Roebuck Inn who came up with us from Division Three last season. In the reverse fixture at home we came out 5-2 victors. Keep your eyes peeled on my page tomorrow as tonight I will be debuting my new darts top. Excited to see people's opinions and see if it makes me play any better 😂. Hopefully I can finish the season strongly as not had the best of luck since getting promoted. 🎯🎯

Over the past month I have gone back to help out my old side who I used to play for on a Sunday Dinner around two years ago. Was a bit apprehensive about going back to playing old rules but one things for sure it has definitely helped me develop my tactical side of the game. When I first joined we were second bottom and being threatened with relegation but after back to back wins we have managed to climb out the bottom two and with games in hand on the rest, finish the season strongly. On a personal note since being back I have won 2 lost 2 which I'm not 100% pleased with but after a long period of time away from playing this rule set I have accepted it will take a bit of settling back into. We beat JJ Lloyds 4-1 yesterday in which I went on first and got the ball rolling. I was very proud of myself with my frame more from a mental aspect than anything as the game turned very tactical, usually I lose my patience which costs me but this time and I managed to keep my head eventually sinking a long black with the white on the cushion to win. Confidence has been a thing I have been struggling with lately so proud to slowly be getting a bit of that back.

Finally my late christmas present arrived last week so was proud to show it off at the first Potters Pool Academy of the year and whilst playing for my new Sunday Dinner team at the Horse & Groom. Thank you to Shirts4U for an amazing design. Definitely one of the best for personalised shirts. Absolutely love it. People have already made comments on it. Can't wait to wear it locally and for competitions on a regular basis.
