Why Dance? Because it transforms everything. Dance is more than a hobby — it’s a powerful, confidence‑building journey that shapes young people for life. From age 3 to 18+, dancers discover what it means to express themselves, work as a team and feel proud of their achievements.
Confidence grows. Every class helps dancers believe in themselves. They learn new skills, overcome challenges and celebrate progress — whether mastering a new step, passing an exam or shining on stage.
Friendships flourish. Dance creates a community. Children make friends who share their passion, support each other and build memories that last far beyond the studio.
Skills for life develop. Discipline, focus, resilience, creativity — dance strengthens them all. These qualities support dancers not only in the studio but at school, at home and in every future ambition.
Performance brings joy. Shows and exams give dancers the chance to shine, celebrate their hard work and feel the thrill of performing. It’s an experience that builds pride, excitement and unforgettable moments.
Movement matters. Dance keeps children active, healthy and happy. It boosts coordination, musicality and physical strength — all while being fun, expressive and full of energy.
Dance isn’t just an activity. It’s a place to grow, belong and shine.

Had fabulous workshops today with the amazing Molly Mae Jones. The students worked so hard looking at leaps, kicks and turns. It may have been hot but that did not stop them and the big smiles they left with said it all. Molly was a breath of fresh air and we cannot wait to invite her back to Footlights.

What a fabulous day, we were very lucky to have Simeon Beckett at Footlights today. With 2 fun filled workshops with our older students it has been an amazing workshop with lots of energy, concentration and a little singing from our students. Starting with Everybody is talking about Jamie, followed by Hamilton was a great experience.
