“ Good evening RunClubbers! I hope you’ve all had a great weekend of running, racing and relaxing.

Tomorrow, we will be joined by our friends from New Balance, who will be bringing along a selection of their latest footwear for you to all try on during the session.

As far as the session goes,I thought we could have another go at the one Ben Connor and Lily Partridge, aka Team Elite Running, set for us a while ago.

5 minutes Tempo/ 10K effort.

90 seconds rest.

8 x 1 minute, with 45 seconds between reps.

90 seconds rest.

5 minutes Tempo/ 10K effort.

The objective is to run the 5 min reps at a “10k effort” and the 1 minute reps at 5k (parkrun) effort.

Its important to run the first 5 mins controlled so you have enough to run the 1 minutes fairly hard. The last 5 mins will be tough with the minute reps in the legs but aim to run it at similar pace as the first 5 mins.

Ryan and I are looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow at the shop at 6.45pm (earlier if you want to try the NB shoes), ready to begin the warm up at 7pm “
