🚨 Exciting Plans for 2025! 🚨

After an incredible game in 2024, we’re aiming to make 2025 even bigger and better! With more regular games planned for different causes and raising awareness, we’re ready to take things to the next level.

To make this possible, we need your support! We’re on the lookout for sponsors to provide kits for both teams. Ideally, we’d love two sponsors for two sets of kits, but if one sponsor is happy to do both, that would be amazing. This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in something special while supporting an incredible cause.

We’ve got a lot of exciting work in the pipeline, including plans to launch our very own cup competition, inviting other charity teams to participate. More details on this will follow soon!

And of course, we’ll be arranging a date for Rams Charity FC and Tricky Trees Charity FC to face off once again for the Colin Hunt Charity Cup. We can’t wait to build on what we’ve already achieved and make the next event even more memorable.

If you or someone you know would be interested in sponsoring, please get in touch—we’d love to hear from you!

Let’s make 2025 a year to remember. Thank you for your continued support! ā¤ļø

A Message from Adam Richardson, Organiser and Captain of Rams Charity FC

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who supported this incredible event. It’s impossible to overstate how much it means to me, to the teams, and most importantly, to the charities we came together for.

First, a massive thank you to our sponsors—without your generosity, none of this would have been possible. Your backing ensured that we could make this event a reality, and your belief in our mission gave us the foundation to succeed.

To those working tirelessly behind the scenes, especially my mum, Sarah Richardson—words simply aren’t enough. From start to finish, you’ve been the glue holding this together, ensuring every detail was perfect. Your efforts allowed us to create something truly special, and I’m so proud to have had you by my side throughout this journey.

I couldn’t be prouder of how the day unfolded. While Tricky Trees took home the trophy and solidified their place as two-time winners, the real victory lies in the incredible funds raised and awareness spread for MIND and Sands. Together, we united two rival cities—showing that no matter the scoreline, we can stand as one for a greater cause.

On a personal level, Sunday was unforgettable for me. It’s been eight long years since I last stepped onto a pitch, and to come back and play in memory of someone so special was overwhelming. Scoring in their honor was a moment I will cherish for the rest of my life, and to share it with all of you made it even more meaningful. The photos below will show you everything it meant to me—the joy, the pride, and every emotion that ran through me.

To every player, every supporter in the stands, and every person who donated—thank you for making this event unforgettable. You’ve been part of something bigger than football, something that truly matters.

This was just the beginning. I’m already looking forward to next year, to building on what we’ve achieved, and to making it even more extraordinary. Together, we’ve proven that we can turn rivalry into unity and create a legacy of compassion, action, and hope.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Here’s to what’s next.

Full-Time Update: Tricky Trees 7-3 Rams Charity FC šŸŒ³šŸ

A huge congratulations to the Tricky Trees, now two-time winners of the Colin Hunt Charity Trophy! šŸ†šŸŒ³ An incredible performance on the pitch secured their victory, but the real triumph was the unity and support shown by both sides for two amazing causes.

While the result didn’t go the Rams’ way, every player gave it their all, making this an unforgettable day for everyone involved.

šŸ“ø Photos from the day will be shared in the coming days—capturing the passion, pride, and moments that made this event so special.

šŸ’° Total Raised: We’ll announce the final amount once all donations are collected and banked. Every penny raised will go directly to MIND and SANDS, making a meaningful difference for those who need it most.

Thank you to the players, sponsors, supporters, and everyone who made this day possible. The Colin Hunt Charity Trophy is more than a game—it’s about unity, compassion, and doing something bigger than ourselves.

Here’s to an incredible 2025—we can’t wait to see what’s next!

Four Hours to Go

Four hours stand between us and the roar,
The cheers, the passion, the love at the core.
A game that’s more than a win or a score,
A day to remember, forever, and more.

The players prepare, their hearts beating fast,
The memories of last year’s game still cast.
Nerves in their stomachs, pride in their chest,
Today they’ll give it their absolute best.

For MIND and SANDS, we’re here to unite,
To turn the dark into radiant light.
To honor the struggles that can’t be seen,
And hold space for babies who might’ve been.

On this pitch, it’s not just a game,
It’s love and remembrance, not fortune or fame.
It’s proof that football’s a language of care,
A bridge for the broken, to show we are there.

The hours grow shorter, the moment draws near,
A time for courage, to conquer the fear.
The players will walk through those gates with pride,
Knowing they carry us all by their side.

So as the whistle begins the day,
Remember the lives we honor and play.
Four hours to go, the heart starts to race,
Soon unity meets the beautiful game face to face.

Tears may fall, but that’s what it’s for,
To remember, to hope, and to open the door.
So here’s to the players, the crowd, the cause,
Together, let’s rise for a world with no flaws.
