At last, after four years, we finally have a flag! You can come and see it at Pennington Flash at their Great Viking Gathering this weekend.

At Combat Training on Monday, we were joined by many of our friends from Hammer Horde - Viking Society Group- Sheffield and South Yorkshire and Niflheim. Getting in some good practice before we head off to Pennington Flash Country Park for their Great Viking Gathering! And you don't just have to fight, crafting is always welcome too.

We had a great time yesterday watching and listening to a fabulous talk and demonstration by Waffle and Wood in their workshop! Learning all about historical bowl and plate construction and how Pat uses modern equipment to recreate historical accuracy. They (and us!) will be at Pennington Flash this weekend, at The Great Viking Gathering, trading their wares and talking about all things wood in the Viking Age.

Calling local schools for VikeFest 2027
On Thursday 24 June, 2027, as part of the largest ever Viking history festival in the UK, we would like to invite school groups
to step back in time with us to experience the England of the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons.
The day will create an immersive experience for KS2 children studying the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings (793-1066) enabling them to further appreciate first hand the England of 1,000 years ago.
