Tonight marked our very first senior women’s friendly, and what a performance they put in. To step out together for the first time and compete so well and push the game right to the end is something to be incredibly proud of.

A brilliant experience for the team, plenty to build on, and most importantly, a fantastic night for women’s cricket in Denton. 🏏💙

Well done to every single one of our girls — you did us proud! 👏💙

The Saints are back in action this Saturday, with our 1XI at home and the 2XI on the road.

🌧️ It’s certainly been a wet week, so we’ll be keeping everything crossed that the weather gives us a break and we can get some cricket in! 🤞

Before the start of the 1XI game, we will come together at the club to observe a minute’s silence in memory of our much-missed member and friend, Jason Gledhill.

Jason was a true club man and a friend to many, and he’ll be very much in our thoughts today. ❤️

We’d also like to say a big thank you to our ball sponsors, Yvonne and Andy Smith, for their kind support of the club.

Hopefully the rain stays away and we can enjoy an afternoon of cricket at DSL — but whether we win, lose or get rained off, we’ll raise a glass to Jason.🕊️🍻

This Saturday, we will come together as a club to remember our much-loved friend and member, Jason Gledhill.

Before the start of our 1st XI game against Heaton, there will be a minute’s silence in Jason’s memory and as a mark of respect to his family and friends.

Jason’s family will be joining us on Saturday, and we would like to invite all members, friends and supporters who are able to attend to join us as we come together to remember Jason and show our love and support for his family.

We would ask everyone wishing to join us to arrive in good time before the start of the game, which starts at 12:30pm.

Our thoughts remain with Paula, Georgina and all of Jason’s family and friends. ❤️

It is with great sadness that we share the news that one of our much-loved and highly respected members Jason Gledhill, sadly passed away on Thursday 13th August.

Jason was a true all-round club man and someone who always had time for everyone. He gave so much of himself to our club over the years and played an important part in so many areas.

As a former valued member of the committee, through the time and dedication he gave to running our junior section, and as a great supporter of our senior teams, Jason’s contribution to the club was immense. More importantly, he was a friend to so many and a familiar, welcoming face who will be remembered with enormous affection.

His passing is a huge loss to the club and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be greatly missed.

Our thoughts, love and deepest condolences are with Jason’s beloved wife Paula, his daughter Georgina, and all of his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. ❤️

Jason’s funeral details are as follows:

Friday 11th September at 11.15am
The Cypress
Stockport Crematorium

Afterwards, everyone is welcome to join the family here at Denton St Lawrence Cricket Club.

🏏IT’S MATCH DAY ! 🏏

Another Saturday, another big day of cricket for Denton St Lawrence!

Our 1st XI are on the road as they make the trip to Stand CC. After defeat last weekend, the lads will be looking to bounce straight back and bring some valuable points home to Denton. 💪🏏

Back at home, our 2nd XI welcome Monton CC and will be looking to put in a strong performance and get those all-important points on the board. 🔥

⏰ Both games get underway at 12:30pm.
