August is always a quiet month for us, with the boys fully committed to helping Team Mistral Racing at the Manx. The event kicks off today, and weād like to wish everyone a safe, successful and enjoyable couple of weeks ahead.
We know many who will be getting that famous tap on the shoulder, and we hope they simply soak up the moment and enjoy the experience.
Our thoughts are very much with Team JBW Racing, who worked incredibly hard to be back out there this year, but someone above clearly had other plans. I know heāll be watching over everyone!!!

Pleased to share that, following official confirmation, James is now a double Aintree Motorcycle Club Champion securing the top spot in both the 700 Twin and 750 Twin classes. His consistency and solid riding throughout the season have truly paid off. A huge well done, James.
Itās never an easy road. Running two bikes is ridiculously expensive, and countless pennies and experiments go into keeping bike #8 moving forward. Yet he never complains, he just gets on with it and rides the machine heās gelled with so brilliantly. From the bottom of my big heart, congratulations and THANK YOU. Your life is hectic, but thanks to you weāre double champions for the second year in a row. Yahoo!!!!!!!
Well done also on securing a 2nd place finish in the Supersport 600 championship on board your own Yamaha!!!!
These achievements wouldnāt be possible without those who support us, through product help, The Supporters Club, and individual contributions. I cannot thank you enough.
A huge shoutout to James Gerrard and team, whoāve kept us honest all season in his debut year in the classes. The progress youāve made is commendable. To Team Butler, thank you for just being YOU!!! Love sharing and being in a paddock with you guys. Terry Butler James Gerrard James Leatham Aintree Motorcycle Racing Club
And well done to Mike, who has smashed both class lap records:
⢠700 Twin: 58.434 (previously 59.475)
⢠750 Twin: 58.457 (previously 59.698)

Aintree Final Round delivered a brilliant end to the season, sunshine, supporters, family and friends all out in force. James headed into the day with the Twin championships still wide open, qualifying P1 in the 700cc class and P2 in the 750cc. He dug deep across all four races, tackling issues with his own 600, backātoābacks and three different bikes, yet still took it all in his stride.
If you were trackside, Race 9 (Steel Frame, 750 Twin and Open 500 in Supermono) was an absolute treat. Incredible battles, phenomenal riding and less than 0.8 seconds separating the top four. James brought home four P2 finishes in class.
Mike also lined up in the 750cc class and, after that phenomenal Race 9 win and knowing heād done what he needed to, made the call to park it.
Huge thanks to the officials, marshals, medics and every volunteer who makes these events possible, especially the assembly area and start line teams for their patience during backātoābacks.
And despite the camp saying I just randomly wave my hands around unreadably when Iām supposed to be giving good signals, the photos prove I do my job well⦠Helen 0 / Fence 1.

Back at Aintree tomorrow for the final round of the year. The parts we needed didnāt arrive in time, but as always the boys had a Plan B š
. Ive had a message to say sheās running, so fingers crossed all goes smoothly. No time for a dyno run, so weāre hoping everything beds in as it should.
Bike #21 has had a few tweaks to chase out the gremlins from the last round, and with the weather looking good it should be a super day.
And yes⦠we have cakes. So pop over and say hi!!! Thanks, Em š¤š

Sorry itās been a little quiet on here recently, juggling a new job and a new house has taken its toll. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone for the kind messages following the Southern 100. Iām still overwhelmed by what we achieved; a privateer team with a dream, mixing it with the best road racers in the world. Just brilliant!!!
Both boys have been flat out with life too, and are working hard to get bike #8 repaired and to resolve the issues with bike #21 ahead of the final round at Aintree next Saturday. Parts are on back order, so weāre hoping they arrive in time and that thereās enough breathing space to get everything sorted. So all being well, the plan is for both boys to be out at Aintree on the Aprilia's, with Mike also onboard the Mistral Racing Kawasaki.
Weāll also be doing the longāoverdue Supporters Club draw. And if youāve nothing planned, pop along, watch some racing, and give us a shout. Your support genuinely keeps us going.
Thank you all for sticking with us.

Weāre home safe, sunburnt, and still absolutely overwhelmed after a superb S100 event. The boys delivered performances far beyond our expectations. Out of 37 competitors an incredible 8th place for Mike and a DNF and a brilliant 16th and 17th for James. Weāll take that any day!!!! š„š„
The class was stacked with talent, yet our lads mixed it with some of the top names in road racing, proving once again what hard work, grit and belief can achieve.
A huge thank you to the officials, volunteers, medics and marshals who make weeks like this possible. And to our commercial and nonācommercial supporters, thank you, your backing allows us to live this dream.
Wishing James the very best of luck tomorrow at Aintree. Mikeās in chargeā¦ ššš¤š
Mike is all good he retired early, said the bike was slowing down, and when that happens the smartest move is always to bring it in. Heāll check it over and weāll be back out there before you know it.
James had zero issues and delivered yet another phenomenal performance with another PB. Brought it home in 17th šŖšš¤š
