Rounding off the weekend in great style and completing a perfect unbeaten season of 12 wins from 12 our Women's softball team claimed two impressive wins against a fantastic Gwersyllt Park team at Ystrad Road to win the Division 2 East.
Incredible batting in both games with boundaries flowing, reverse sweeps aplenty and a couple of huge 6's to finish the season in style.
An amazing first season for our Women's team, a huge thank you to all involved in what is a really fantastic and close team. Everyone is already looking forward to next season and plenty more to come!

On goes the winning streak for the 2s with 4 in a row in the bag after a handsome 3 wicket win away at Corwen.
A good bowling effort limited Corwen to a below par 155/9, Fin Rooke-Hart the pick of the bowling with 3/23 from 8 overs and Sam Kitching 2/17 from 8 the 2s sauntered to the target of 156/7 with 3 overs to spare.
Will Schrimshaw the mainstay of the innings with 55, supported by Sam Kitching 25 and skipper Daniel Nixon anchoring the innings with 21* as the young Denbigh team claim a thoroughly well deserved 12-3 points split cementing our place in the top half of the table.

Another win for the first team and another solid all round performance from Shaun Nash with a classy 81 not out to finish the chase and take him over 700 runs for the season after claiming 2-26 with the ball.
Joe Lewis back to full fitness bagged 3-53 helping restrict Northop to 201-8 from 50.
In reply Harrison Jones scored 30, Ranija Abeysinghe 27 and Ieuan Jones an important 26 in a key partnership with Shaun.

Another two great wins for Denbigh Ladies 1st this weekend who played Brymbo CC and Ruthin CC at Ruthin Cricket club.

So far the team is undefeated within their league.

A double celebration for the teams as the 2s take a 13-2 victory.

Akinda Abeysinghe claiming 3-27 before knocking a fantastic 56 not out to see the side home.

Big win for the 1s at home yesterday with an incredible innings from skipper Harrison Jones of 199 not out, what a knock!

More history being made at Denbigh Cricket Club as we saw our first and second ever senior team brother and sister appearance in successive weeks. Following Fin and Iris Rooke-Hart who played for the 3s at Menai Bridge last week Alice and Sam Kitching played for the 3s at Llandudno on Sunday.

Fin and Iris both got on the scorecard with runs as well as both bowling.

After an impressive Premier League debut for the 1st team on Saturday for Sam Kitching, sister Alice joined Sam in the 3s team. Both Alice and Sam bowled and both batted and scored runs. Well done everyone and we're sure we'll see many more in the future!

It was wonderful to see so many ladies come together to support Denbigh Cricket Club and celebrate everything that makes our club such a special part of the local community.
