A couple of photos from this month’s care home chair yoga sessions! 🌿
Highlights of what I worked on:
Physical Health: Spine lengthening, neck stretching, and arm muscle strengthening.
Brain & Motor Skills: Cross-lateral coordination using hand-and-arm movements to boost focus, balance, and cognitive function.

Forward Fold
This gentle yoga posture stretches the muscles along the back of the body, including the hamstrings, calves, glutes and lower back.
Tight hamstrings are common, especially if we spend long periods sitting. Practising simple stretches like this can help improve flexibility and ease tension over time.
Tip: Keep a soft bend in the knees if your hamstrings feel tight.

Myth: You don’t need to be flexible to begin your yoga journey.

⚽ With the Women’s Euros well under way, it’s not just about training hard — it’s about how you recover.
Yoga is a game-changer for footballers:
✅ Injury prevention
✅ Better mobility
✅ Boost Performance
I’ve written a short article on why footballers should incorporate yoga in their training.

☕ Afternoon coffee? Think before you sip.
I know how tempting it is to reach for a coffee late in the day, especially if you’re heading to a yoga class or the gym after work. But caffeine can stay in your system for hours. Even if you fall asleep easily, it can still affect the quality of your sleep.
If you ever feel wired at night after exercising, try being more mindful of caffeine in the mid-afternoon and see if your sleep improves. Everyone’s different — this isn’t a rule, just something to experiment with.
I've tested it myself and noticed a real difference.
Better sleep = better recovery, better movement, better everything.
