Membership, both full (playing) and social (non-playing), is open to males and females of all ages. Our bowling green is open from April until September and during this period, we enjoy a busy schedule of league and social games. Between October and March, a variety of social activities

Congratulations to Jai Krishnan the Champion of Champs for the Tuesday Afternoon Vets League. Who had a great game against Steve Pattinson from North Lodge. Jai lifted the trophy after a well fought game.

The Triples Final at Hundens today saw an incredibly close match between. Woodlands team, consisting of Gus Miller, Jai Krishnan and Peter Carlton against South Park. From being 8-1 down Woodland fought back with the 21st end score being 21-21. Forcing a tie break end. Unfortunately South Park won by one point.

We wish Jai Krishnan every success in the Champion of Champions single final tomorrow at Hundens. We also wish good luck to Tracey Fairless in her Champion of Champion singles final
Being played at Bedale tomorrow.

Another two finals were played this week at Woodland. The first was the Ladies Pairs between Jane Pattison and Sue Waller against Tracey Fairless and Sophie Wood. It was a tight match all the way through with Tracey and Sophie coming out on top. Congratulations to them both.

On Tuesday morning Julie Graham played Jai Krishnan in the Club Championship finals. There was great bowling from both players to make this a worthy final. At the end it was Julie who lifted the Jubilee Trophy to become the 2026 club champion. We would like to wish good luck and every success to Peter Carlton, Jai Krishnan and Gus Miller in there Vets Triple final being played Saturday morning at Hundens.

The final of the Non Winners was held this morning between Stephen Lyons and Dave Carr. There were good bowls from both sides and the weather stayed fine throughout. The winner of the competition was Dave Carr and was presented the Ventress Trophy by Honary Secretary, Steve Graham. Congratulations to both players on achieving so much throughout the season.

On Friday the weather was fine for the Hamilton Open Pairs competition. Two groups of teams competed for the chance to play in the Final. The successful pairings from each group were Brian Bruton and Dave Carr and Jane Pattison and Eric Ashwin-Kean. After a well fought match Dave Carr and Brian Bruton were the overall winners. The trophy was presented by our President, Jai Krishnan. Thanks to everyone who participated to make this another great of bowling at Woodland.

On Tuesday we saw the Tom Vout Open Triples played at Woodland. The weather was kind to us throughout. We had 7 teams all playing to win this impressive trophy. In the end 3 teams were tied on points. But taking the win on shot difference was Jane Pattison, Eric Ashwin-Kean and Paul Burt. Another great day of bowling and look forward to the Hamilton Open Pairs competition on Friday.

just to let all my friends and woodland members, i have now moved to sheltered accomodation,, ( ted fletcher court ) no more hibernating in the winter months lol,
alas unable to get to D,W,B,C as often as i would like,
maybe see you all soon,

What a great achievement. Sophie we are all proud of you winning the Girls Under 17's Singles National Championship. We wish you luck and great bowls for the rest of your national competitions at Leamington. 👏👏

The Vets Pairs competition was played today for the Dick Mason's Trophy. The format this year was slightly amended so it was played in one day. It was a tight call at the top of the table but the worthy winners were Malcolm Elliott and Andy Robinson. Well done to both.
