🎾 Super Saturday serves up our 2026 Club Champions! πŸ†

What a weekend of tennis!

The weather definitely wasn’t playing ball on Friday evening but it all came good for a proper Super Saturday – sunshine, some brilliant tennis and a fantastic atmosphere around the club. β˜€οΈπŸŽΎ

A huge congratulations to all our 2026 Super Saturday Club Champions and runners-up and of course not forgetting our senior/junior doubles champs Giacomo and Morag and runners-up Ben & Simon who competed last weekend. πŸ‘πŸ†

And a big thank you to everyone who helped make the weekend happen – our Tournament Committee, our tractor team, and Russel, Fran, Grahame and Sam for getting the courts ready for action after Friday’s rain.

Thanks too to our curry and BBQ kings Gordon and Russel, and all our talented bakers. Tennis may have been the main event, but the food put in a pretty strong performance too! πŸ›πŸ”πŸ°

One of the nicest things was hearing so many comments about what a friendly club we have. ❀️ A place full of good folk who enjoy their tennis – which pretty much sums us up!

And a special mention for Morag and Toll, who clocked up an astonishing 79 and 72 games respectively in ONE DAY during their marathon run of finals. We’re tired just thinking about it! πŸ˜…πŸŽΎ

Well done everyone – and congratulations to our 2026 champions! πŸ†πŸ‘

🎾 CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS UPDATE: SUPER SATURDAY! 🎾

After an amazing summer of sunshine, today’s weather has sadly decided not to play ball β˜”οΈπŸ™„

So, the Tournament Committee has shuffled the schedule and we now have a Super Saturday on our hands!
(Assuming the weather behaves itself tomorrow… πŸ€žβ˜€οΈ)

For spectators, there is a definite silver lining: twice the tennis AND twice the food!

Tomorrow we’ll be enjoying tonight’s planned rice-based delights alongside our BBQ β€” so bring your friends and family, a healthy appetite for tennis and nourishment, and come along to cheer on our finalists!

Now everyone please keep your fingers, toes and tennis racquets crossed that the rain stays away tomorrow! 🀞🀞🀞

See you for Super Saturday! πŸŽΎπŸ†

We have (almost all!!) our finalists for this year's club championships.

Rackets have been restrung, ice baths and stretch regimes are in progress and the BBQ has had a good clean (thanks Russell!) and we're all ready for a weekend of great tennis (and food!).

Please come along and cheer on our finalists - and if you'd like to bring along some baking as well then even better!

Obviously who knows what the good old Scottish weather will bring but fingers' crossed for a little more sunshine on our lovely courts for Championship Weekend.

See you then and good luck to all our well deserved finalists!!

East Lothian Open Mixed Doubles Handicap Champions!!!!

Huge congratulations to Rosemary and Russel for winning the Mixed Handicap Tournament and really having to fight for it against some top opponents.

They held their nerve until the very end as it came down to the very final game in the third set.

Amazing work after a tough week of tennis in the heat!!!

Now all the catch up matches have been completed, we can say a huge congrats to all players who have represented our three men's and two women's teams in the East District League this season. The men's teams in particular have been plagued with injuries which has meant others stepping up a team when needed and giving it their all.

The great news to report is that our women's first team have been promoted to the heady heights of Division 4 next year: huge congrats ladies!!!! While the Men's thirds have won a much deserved promotion to division 8!!

The men's first team has been hardest hit by injuries this season and will be no doubt back with a vengeance next year in division 5 to earn their place back in division 4, while the men's seconds (division 7) and women's seconds (division 8) both stay in their current leagues next year.

Thanks to everyone who came along to our open morning today. It was great to see so many new faces and we hope you all had fun! Thanks to Morag for organising as well as to Gannon Sports for bringing along some racket bling to test out.
Membership has now been reduced to 50% for the rest of the season so another great reason to get your membership in and enjoy lots of great tennis over the summer and beyond!
