Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts F.C were formed by our Chairman Eddie Spence in the summer of 1996 with over 100 boys and Girls attending the first ever training session at Hillfield playing fields in Inverkeithing. Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts were born and started to grow rapidly. Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts FC were then officially founded in early 2000 and since inception the club has grown from strength to strength. The Swifts are a SFA Quality Marked community football club and a registered Scottish Charity ST03990. The club has had significant growth since its early days early in 2000. Since then, the club has grown from strength to strength and we are currently developing Boys and Girls of all ages in non competitive and competitive teams at every age group from mini kickers to amateur level. We currently have over 400 registered boys and girls playing football at our club. At Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts we believe that it is appropriate to have our players graded into teams based on their ability. At each age group we have a flexible structure with teams graded from A –D with the ability for players to move between teams based on how they develop. We understand their ability will change as they grow and we aim to provide a footballing environment/challenge suitable to their ability at that time while constantly reviewing how they a growing with the game. Our Head Coaches at each age group are responsible for ensuring players play in the appropriate environment for the ability and to review their progress as the develop.

2014-2015 was an important year for Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts FC as the club embarked on a journey of implementing our very own changing facilities and HUB at our playing fields at Ballast Bank, Inverkeithing. The club was granted funding from The Scottish Football Partnership and Fife Council to install changing facilities and a HUB for the club. The facility is near completion and should be ready for use in Spring 2015. 2012 Lightning Team would like to say thanks again to Forth Property Maintenance for their ongoing sponsorship.

The lads have been really grateful to recieve new Match kit , Hoodies and kit bags all sponsored by a local business .

They have started the season well and hope it continues, one thing we know for sure though is they are looking great in the new kit .

AFYFC Division 1

AM Soccer 2-4 The Swifts 2009 (Fife)

Matchday 2 in the team's debut season and a fantastic away performance led to a well deserved 3 points.

Last years quadruple winners AM, had only very recently given the team a heavy defeat but the boys attitude and dedication to the cause, turned this game in their favour.

In a blistering first half the team went toe to toe with this top outfit and took the lead when a forced defensive error led to an own goal. The lead only lasted for a minute or two when one lapse in focus led to the opposition player making a driving run and tidy finish.

The lads got back into it though and it wasn't long until Jackson was fouled as he raced into the box and the ref awarded the penalty. Captain Shay stepped up and finished confidently.

Buoyed by taking the lead for a second time the team kicked on and a fantastic team press led to Logan deflecting the ball into the net.

Just a few minutes to go in the first half great work from Olo saw the ball break free to Kosta who clipped the ball over the keeper.

Second half started with an AM onslaught which led to a goal back for them but the Swifts did not flinch and by the end were unlucky to have not made another score themselves.

All the best to AM for rest of season.

Good win this early on in the campaign but lots to keep working on.

AFYFC Divsion 1

The Swifts (Fife) 2009 1-1 Dundee West Royals

The team kicked off their debut league campaign with a hard fought draw vs one of the early favourites for the league title. Royals, who had won all 5 of their games so far in the league cup, including a narrow victory over the Swifts, were always going to prove a challenge but the lads showed grit, resilience and determination. Ultimately there was a sense of disappointment in the end as it felt like a missed opportunity with our opponents down to 10 players for the closing parts of the game however the attitude, in a fairly hostile atmosphere, was a notable and welcome improvement.

The team made a slow start and Callum was called into action early on with a superb penalty save. Not long after the team were really unlucky to have not received a penalty of their own after Codey was clearly hurt in a foul within the 6 yard box. Pressure was starting to build though and after the ball broke to Charlie in the box he coolly slotted the boys into the lead.
The away team hit back with a cracking strike from distance, the team were too slow out to block but to be fair the shot left Callum no chance of keeping it out.

In a tense and competitive second half both teams had chances to win it but the game ended in a point each. Callum found time for another great save from a well struck free kick.
