Birthday celebrations for Graham Bennison at the park run today! Happy Birthday to a very special person.

The last race of the Club's Midweek Series, the Balmullo Trail Race, took place last night. There was a good turnout largely bolstered by runners from across the water and here is the link to a set of images taken on the course.

Over the summer months, Fife AC and Kirkcaldy Wizards hosted a series of one and two-mile races in Ravenscraig Park and along Kirkcaldy Prom.

The races attracted an amazing turnout from across Fife and beyond. They were fun, friendly and suitable for runners of all abilities, and we saw some brilliant performances throughout the series.

While the results from each individual race have already been published, the overall series results have been eagerly awaited! To qualify, runners had to complete all four races, with 25 runners achieving this.

The overall times shown below are the combined times from all four races.

🏃‍♀️ Kirkcaldy Prom 1 Mile Road Race 🏃‍♂️

A fantastic 107 runners joined us for the final race of our Summer Series - 1 mile along Kirkcaldy prom.

Fresh from Josh Kerr’s amazing world-record run on Saturday, the challenge was on to see how close our runners could get. Tonight’s winning time was an impressive 4:25.88, recorded by Jamie Lessels.

This really was a race for everyone, from our youngest runner at just 3 years old through to runners in their 70s. It was also brilliant to see such wide participation from clubs across Fife and beyond.

Thank you to everyone who raced, supported and helped make the evening possible.

The results below are provisional, so please let us know if you spot any issues or misspellings and we’ll get them sorted. Once results are confirmed, series results can be completed for those who completed all 4 races.

Midweek Series #5 - Balmullo
Thursday 6th August - 7pm

The fifth and final race of the 2026 Midweek series is the out and back Balmullo to Lucklaw Hill trail race on Thursday 6th Aug starting at 7pm from burnside Hall in Balmullo.

Licensed by Scottish Athletics.

Open to all genders and age groups from 15 years and older.

PLEASE pre-enter on the on-line entry form linked below but pay on the night.

Entry fee is £5 for SA members and £7 for non SA members.

Registration will be open from 6pm in Burnside Hall which has toilets and limited changing. Parking spaces have been extended outside the Hall but please DO NOT park on the grass and if using surrounding estate roads, please park responsibly / don't block driveways.

As this is the final race, there will be post race refreshments whilst waiting for final results and prize giving.

🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️ 1 Mile Road Race - Kirkcaldy Prom 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

On the back of Josh Kerr’s amazing 1 mile world record yesterday, it’s time for our own 1 Mile Race on Friday 24 July!

This is the fourth and final race of our Summer Series …. how close can you get to Josh’s incredible time of 3:42.66?!

Only 22 people have taken part in every race of the series so far and are still in with a chance of winning a series prize ….

📍 Registration near the Hobby Horse, at the Morrisons end of the prom
⏰ Registration: 6.00–6.40pm
🏁 Race starts: 7.00pm

Registration times will be strict, so please don’t be a last-minute straggler - we won’t be able to include anyone arriving after 6.40pm.

There are no toilets or changing facilities, although you can nip into Morrisons if needed. Please come ready to run!
