Huge well done to Rowan O'Hare picking up his first win at Blantyre Miners Boxing Club.
Up against a very tough and determined opponent, who from the first Bell came out looking to stop Rowan.

Rowan weathered the storm, with great head movement, rolling and slipping and moving off the center line ensuring he didnt take any big shots, at the same time scoring with straight body shots and 1,2s.

Rowan was under pressure in the early stages of all 3 rounds but with his good fitness and composure seen it out, and his better boxing seen him landing clean shots.

In the 3rd Round Rowan found his range and timing better, with his opponent running out of gas,
A nice body shot, and pivot off his opponent, seen his opponent through the ropes, and an 8 count.
Shortly after Rowan landed a lead left hook, slipped outside a back hand and landed a lovely jab come screw shot, with a glancing back hand as his opponent hit the canvas once more.

The Ref stopped the contest and Rowan picks up his first win.
Composure, fitness, landing clean shots, arcing away from opponent when under pressure or fighting thru, all seen Rowan put on a very mature performance against a determined pressure fighter.

Hard graft at the club, focus, discipline, and willingness to learn Rowan has in bags full.
Onwards to the WWBC.

Massive thanks to Blantyre superb hospitality, and fantastic club all round

another great display of Boxing by our Finlay Adams representing Scotland against England at Celtic Park saturday past.

Finlay is second to none in his commitment to his training, be it fitness, Boxing, sparring, road work, puts in 100% every session and is a shining example to everybody at Quinns B.C of what is required if you want to step through the ropes and be ready for whatever comes your way, If you put the serious graft in, our honest with yourself, you then are on the way to Boxing your opponent and not fighting yourself aswell.

A fantastic display again from Finlay who I now call Jake Lamotta 🥊🥊😁
