A wonderful afternoon at Condorrat BC today for Whisky and Vodka tasting. A massive thank you to Siobhan Ramage for organising today and her help in the kitchen preparing the food with Jackie Lewis. Monica and Kath for their wonderful trolly dolly service and to Denise and Linda behind the bar.

The bar remains open until late and the music is on. Clubs still packed, head down if you fancy a few Sunday night drinks. It’s a bank holiday Monday after-all.

Tomorrow, we start to plan our finals weekends with it kicking off on Saturday.

K&D Top Ten Final - Result.

Those who travelled to Lenzie today, were treated with an unbelievably close tie with superb bowling across 4 rinks.

Westermains took an early lead in the rinks, singles and pairs before all games were clawed back and it set up a very tense final few ends.

With our Triple having a comfortable lead, and the singles only 4 down. It came to the pairs. At 14-14 on the last end and with Condorrat lying a bowl just behind the Jack, it looked inevitable that we would have seen the rinks play their final end. Then upsteps Ross Reid…

An unbelievable bowl that deserved to win any championship. A clean hit on the jack and followed through with the bowl to the ditch. You will struggle to witness a better winning bowl.

Our congratulations go to Westermains BC on a fantastic win. You deserve it.

Thanks to Lenzie Bowling Club, and President Jim Munro, the green was presented in fabulous condition. To George Menzies for ensuring we were all refreshed at the bar.

A big thanks also goes to Ronnie Houston for the live scoring. That really makes such a difference for those unable to travel and watch.

On our side, Well Done to Aodhan Welsh and Cameron Davidson making their gents debut this year in association games and a big well done to Rhys Kidd for Westermains. 14 years old, unbelievable.

A tough day for the club, but we now look forward to the next few weeks and close out the season with some big games in the club finals.

Thanks to all who came out and supported us today! We will definitely be back next year!

Bowls Scotland National Championships 2026 - Ladies Pairs

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for Rachel and Heather today as they came up against a really strong Stonehaven pair. We wish them all the best for the rest of the competition.

A great effort from the ladies on the TV rink.

As our Northfield participation draws to a close, we would like to wish all clubs representing District 12 the very best of luck for the remainder of the finals.
