RESULTS & LEAGUES
Congratulations to the following competition winners :
Grant McGarry (Ford Cup), Ewan McMurray (Cumbernauld Law Society) & Willie McLachlan (Memorial Trophy)!
The current tables for the Saturday & Wednesday Leagues can be found on Master Scoreboard (Results, Best of Series). James Baxter currently has a healthy lead in the Saturday League & it will run until 17 October, given scores are "counters". Eddie McCann leads the Wednesday League, which will finish on 30 September (earlier finish as many play after work, but the nights are drawing in!).

SEPTEMBER
To confirm my recent email, next Thursday (3rd) I will publish the starter sheets for both the 5th & 12th as I am away for a few days. Please contact Reception for any amendments once they're published.
I am away again later in the month, so the starter sheet for the 26th will be published early, on Tuesday 22nd, so if your plans change, please contact Reception, not me.
The 26th is the 2nd round of the Alex Rankin Scratch (lowest total wins) & those in contention after round 1 will be put out together from 8.16. I will contact those concerned nearer the time.

Thank you

CAPTAIN'S DAY
A big thank you to our captain, Tom Bowers, for providing the prizes for yesterday's event, which was held in his honour & I'm sure you'll all join me in thanking him for the support he gives our Club!
It was a hard fought competition, with lots of low scores, including 4 net 69's, with Stevie Peerless just edging out Andy Urquhart, Jim Spence & Charlie Robb on countback. Congratulations to Stevie, who wins a bottle of Glenmorangie Lasanta! Andy was still a winner though, being nearest the pin at the 6th, as was Robert McDonald who was closest at the 8th, winning cases of Morretti/Peroni and personalised golf towels for doing so.
Prizes can be collected at Reception.

Thank you,
David [email protected]

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Charity Golf Day! We’re delighted to share that an amazing £4,000 was raised and will be donated to five fantastic local causes: Watch Us Grow, Redburn School, Glencryan School, Baird Memorial Nursery and Tony’s Safe Place. Each recipient will receive £800 to support the brilliant work they do in our community.

AM-AM CHARITY DAY
Yesterday saw an incredible 43 teams take part & I was sorry to have to turn a few more away!
A big thank you to the greenkeepers, who presented the course in great condition & to the reception team, who took care of us all! I would also like to thank Muriel, Ellen, Andy, Glenn, Willie & Tam for organising the teams, raffle, result & presentation. These events rely on volunteers to give up a lot of their time to make them the success that yesterday certainly was!
Our main thanks however, is to all who supported the day & gave so generously & I'm delighted to report that we raised £4,000 & this will be donated to five really worthwhile local causes - Watch Us Grow, Redburn & Glencryan Schools, Baird Memorial Nursery & Tony's Safe Place, who will each receive £800!
The day was primarily about raising funds, whilst enjoying the company of members and visitors in doing so, but there was still a keenly fought Texas Scramble!
Three teams managed an impressive net score of 54, with The Boom Booms (Brian Keen, Zanda Shaw, Dougie Hepburn and Gary Carmichael), just edging out the teams led by Nathan Paton & Connor Ryan on countback.
Marie Provan won both the ladies longest drive and nearest the pin, with visitors Ross Mather & John McGrellis winning the gents equivalents, whilst Cammy Taylor won the fourball at Murrayshall.
I have messaged all prize winners that didn't collect on the day and will do the same for outstanding raffle winners after I've checked them on Tuesday. I have attached a screenshot of the top half of the scoreboard and thank you again to everyone who supported the day!
