Can’t believe that today was the last of our beginner and novice camps for this summer ☀️

Our beginner group tackled some riding ba****ck today and got fully invested in some pony painting, leaving us with a couple of colourful ponies for our novice riders arrival this afternoon 🎨
In our second session the riders designed their own ba****ck challenges to begin with. We also wanted to give our riders something to take home from camp today so everyone designed their own wooden horse shoe decorations - and they turned out amazing!

Thank you to all of our beginner and novice campers throughout the summer. These riders have been so much fun to teach over their sessions and watching their confidence grow both with the ponies and also with each other has been a pleasure to see ❤️

Huge thanks also to the girls for all their help throughout the day! Just one more camp to go for our intermediate riders before it’s officially back to school ✏️

Our summer fun continued today with a trip to one of Portmore Equestrian Centre’s summer shows ☀️

It was fantastic to see our riders pushing themselves and growing in confidence throughout their rounds. I was so proud to watch their hard work paying off 🚀

I owe a huge thank you to everyone who helped make today possible, whether it was cleaning ponies and tack, getting the ponies there, running around on the day or taking care of all the other jobs that happen behind the scenes.

A massive thank you also to our riders for making the most of these opportunities and of course to the fantastic ponies who make these dreams possible ❤️

Hacking is an important part of our ponies routines and this week we have been inviting our Pony Club members along to enjoy riding out on some of their favorite ponies 🦄

During our rides we’ve developed our road sense, explored the local countryside and had plenty of laughs and good catch ups along the way!

Making the most of the last few weeks of summer ❤️

At today’s intermediate camp our focus was on long reining!
We started off by riding the ponies through some straightforward patterns using poles and cones before switching things up and tackling the same patterns from the ground. Suddenly they became a lot more challenging! 🐎

It was a great way for our riders to appreciate just how much we rely on our leg and other aids when riding as well as how important clear communication is when working with our ponies from the ground.

Our campers got creative in the second half of our session with some crafting - this group certainly didn’t lack imagination! 🎨
We also managed to fit in a quick birthday celebration with some mini cakes 🎂

Huge thanks to Laura and Bella for all their help today, our super ponies for continuing to be stars despite the pouring rain and massive well done to our campers for their enthusiasm and hard work 🌟

🏠 Ideal Hacking/Endurance/Breeding Prospect 🏠

Approx 16hh
6yr old
Mare

Looking for a 5* home for this special mare where she can be appreciated for what she enjoys! ❤️

Absolutely loves to hack and is happy to head out on the roads, round the fields etc. Not phased by traffic/farm machinery.

She is straightforward to work with on the ground, easy to load and travel and happily turns out with mares, geldings and donkeys! Has been used for Pony Club lunging demonstrations and was a perfect model. Loves a scratch and will do anything for a few treats!

She can pull a face in the stable, so an experienced home is preferred.

Please note she is not a fan of arena work. Never dangerous but can be reluctant to go forward and may kick out if she feels pressured. She has never displayed any of these behaviors when out hacking.

She has been thoroughly checked and I am fully satisfied that there are no physical limitations preventing her from doing the type of work she enjoys. She is totally sound and healthy. She simply doesn’t enjoy arena work and I don’t believe she should be forced when she is such a fun and enjoyable mare doing the things she loves.

She would be an ideal prospect for someone looking a fantastic hacking/pleasure/endurance type mare for years to come.
She is nicely bred with showjumping in mind, so could also potentially be a breeding prospect.

A knowledgeable, loving home is essential!

We always love getting feedback from our riders about the topics they’d like to cover during our camps and today’s requests were Road Safety and Loading & Unloading!

Both of our camp groups got stuck in covering everything from arm signals, what we need to wear and take with us when we go hacking and then putting it all into practice on our very own simulated road in the arena 🚗
After a quick refuel, it was time to meet our super minis Buck and Taylor and have a go at loading and unloading - a first for nearly all of our riders today! 🥰

Huge thanks to Bella and Katie for all their help and a massive well done to all of today’s campers! You were such a fun bunch ⭐️

Summer evenings at the yard 🌅🐴

Some highlights captured during yesterday evening‘s lesson with Rowan and Dolly 📸

Thank you to Trevor, Rowan’s dad, for taking these brilliant photos!

Today at our intermediate camp we explored what information can be found in our horses passports. The riders were then given a selection of passport marking sheets and challenged to match each one with the correct horse in the yard 🐎

To finish the day everyone worked together to create a fun obstacle course which they completed ba****ck! A huge well done to all of our riders - especially those who were giving ba****ck riding a go for the very first time today. You all did brilliantly! 💪

Huge thanks to Laura and Bella for all their work in helping the day run so smoothly ⭐️
