Because sometimes the hardest part comes after the immediate crisis.

When the visitors stop coming.
When the messages become less frequent.
When everyone assumes you’re doing better.

But inside, you’re thinking:
“I don’t know how to rebuild my life from here.”

That’s where coaching can help.
Not by telling you to “move on”.
Not by telling you how you should feel.

But by giving you somewhere to slow down, make sense of what has happened and begin working out what you want your life to look like now.

You don’t have to have it all figured out before you ask for help.

You just have to be ready to take the first step.

If you’re a woman 40+ trying to find your way after loss, that’s the work I help with.

They’ve gone back to work.
They’re making plans.
They’re laughing again.
They’re talking about ordinary things.

And you’re thinking:

“How can everyone be carrying on when my world has changed?”

There’s no timetable for feeling okay.
And grief doesn’t move in a straight line.

You can have a really good day and then be knocked sideways by something completely unexpected.

A song.
A smell.
A date in the calendar.
A photograph.
A familiar voice.

It doesn’t mean you’ve gone backwards.
It means you loved someone.
Be gentle with yourself 💛

It’s a sentence I hear in different forms again and again.
And it can be particularly difficult in midlife.

Perhaps you’ve lost a parent.
Or your partner.
Perhaps your children have grown up.
Perhaps work has changed.
Perhaps you’ve spent years looking after everyone else.

Then suddenly you look around and think:

Where am I in all of this?

Grief can make that question even louder.
But losing your sense of self doesn’t mean you’ve lost yourself forever.
Sometimes you need space to work out what matters to you now.

What you want.
What you need.
What you’re ready to leave behind.

And what you want the next chapter to look like.

You are allowed to become someone new. 💛

Sometimes grief is complicated because you’re grieving several things at once.

The person.
The relationship you had with them.
The future you thought you’d have.
The role you played in their life.
The version of yourself that existed before the loss.

And sometimes…

you’re grieving a life that simply doesn’t fit anymore.

That’s why you can feel lost even when you know exactly who you’ve lost.

There isn’t something wrong with you.
There may just be more to your grief than you realised.

Save this for a day when you need to hear it. 💛

You lose someone you love.
But you can also lose parts of yourself.
Your confidence.
Your motivation.
Your sense of purpose.
Your excitement about the future.
Sometimes even your identity.

And then, at some point, people around you seem to expect you to be “back to normal”.

But what if you don’t want your old normal?
What if you’ve changed?
What if the question isn’t:
“How do I get back to who I was?”
but:
“Who am I now?”

That can be a much more useful question.
Because rebuilding your life after loss isn’t about leaving the person you lost behind.
It’s about finding a way forward while carrying their memory with you.

If you’re struggling with who you’ve become after loss, you’re not alone. 💛

I hear this so often from women after a significant loss.
But here’s the thing…

You might not actually need to find your old self.
Because you’ve changed.
What you’ve been through has changed you.

The question might be:
Who am I now?
What do I want?
What matters to me?
What does my life look like from here?
What would make me feel alive again?

That’s very different from simply “getting over” grief.

It’s about rebuilding a life that feels like yours again.

And you don’t have to have all the answers before you start.

If you’re a woman 40+ trying to find your way after loss, this is the work I help with.

It’s not always just the person you’ve lost.

Grief can quietly take:

1. Your confidence
You don’t feel quite as capable as you used to.

2. Your motivation
Things that once mattered suddenly feel pointless.

3. Your identity
You may find yourself asking, “Who am I now?”

4. Your sense of the future
The life you imagined may no longer look the same.

5. Your connection with other people
Sometimes you feel like everyone else has moved on without you.

If you’ve experienced this, it doesn’t mean you’re doing grief wrong.

It means your loss has affected more than your emotions.

And rebuilding isn’t about forgetting the person you lost.

It’s about finding a way to live a meaningful life alongside the loss.

Save this if you need the reminder 💛

The funeral is over.
Everyone else has gone back to normal.
Months, sometimes years, have passed.

So why do you still feel different?

Because grief isn’t just missing someone.
It can change your confidence.
Your relationships.
Your sense of purpose.
Your identity.
Even the way you imagine your future.

And sometimes the hardest part isn’t losing the person.
It’s realising you don’t quite recognise yourself anymore.
You don’t have to rush yourself back to who you were.
Sometimes the work is discovering who you are now.

If that’s where you are, you’re not broken. And you’re not failing at grief.

You’re rebuilding 💛

This is such an uncomfortable place to be.
You know something isn’t right.

You’re tired of feeling flat.
Tired of overthinking.
Tired of putting everyone else first.
Tired of feeling like you’re watching your own life from the outside.

But when someone asks, “What do you actually want?”

You’ve got no idea.

And that can make you feel even more stuck.
But you don’t need to know the destination before you take the first step.

Sometimes the first step is simply acknowledging that the life you’re living no longer feels right.
Then you can start asking smaller questions.

What gives me energy?
What drains me?
What have I been tolerating?
What do I miss?
What do I want more of?
What would I choose if I wasn’t constantly thinking about everyone else’s needs?

You don’t have to reinvent your entire life overnight.
You can start by getting to know yourself again.
And that’s something we can work through together.

If you’re at that point where you know something needs to change, but you have absolutely no idea where to start, send me a message.

You don’t need to have it all worked out before you reach out.

💛 Sometimes the first conversation is simply about making sense of where you are.

You might be the person everyone turns to.
The one who sorts things out.
The one who remembers everything.
The one who keeps going when things are difficult.

And perhaps you’ve become so good at being that person that nobody notices when you’re struggling.

Maybe you don’t even notice yourself.
You just keep going.

Until one day you realise you’re exhausted from being the person who always has to be OK.
And you might feel guilty admitting it.

Because people depend on you.
Because you’ve always managed before.
Because there are people who have bigger problems.

But needing support doesn’t mean you’re weak.
It doesn’t mean you’re selfish.
And it certainly doesn’t mean you’re failing.

Sometimes strength looks like admitting:
“I can’t keep doing this on my own.”
You don’t have to wait until you’re completely overwhelmed before you reach out.

You deserve somewhere to put down some of the things you’ve been carrying.
Somewhere you don’t have to be the strong one.
Somewhere you can simply be you.

💛 If you’re always the one looking after everyone else, perhaps it’s time someone looked after you too. Share this with a friend who needs to hear it.
