30th June 2018: Our very first girls' training session with a mixed-age group of just 28 players ⚽️

30th June 2026: The addition of our women's team completes our pathway 💪

In just 8 years, we've grown from those first 28 girls to 13 age groups, offering a complete pathway from grassroots through to senior women's football.

Not bad for a little village.

Crawley Down Gatwick FC is looking for outfield players and an additional goalkeeper to join our U18 Girls team for the new season.

This is an exciting time to join the club as we continue to strengthen our girls' and women's pathway. Our U18s will train alongside our senior women's side, Ashmount Leigh FC Women, giving players a genuine pathway into senior football and opportunities to train and trial with the first team as the clubs begin their transition into one club.

We're delighted to announce Dermot Sargent as our new U18 Girls Manager.

A UEFA C qualified coach, Dermot has been a valued part of the club for several years, leading our successful U14 Girls team and helping players develop both on and off the pitch.

With an exciting new girls' and women's pathway at the club, we're looking forward to seeing Dermot lead our U18s into the new season.

Our new women's team training at the Haven Centre this evening ⚽️

We're really excited to share some fantastic news.

We're delighted to welcome Ashmount Leigh FC to Crawley Down Gatwick FC, completing our girls' pathway through to senior women's football for the very first time.

Together, we're now one of the largest women's and girls' football clubs in Sussex, and we're excited about what the future holds as we continue to build a successful and ambitious women's section.

During the 2026/27 season, Ashmount Leigh FC will continue to play under the Ashmount Leigh name while we work together on the transition and integration of the two clubs. We'll be ready to come together as one club ahead of the 2027/28 season.
