What started as an idea over five years ago is finally becoming reality.

The installation of our brand-new cricket nets marks one of the biggest milestones in the history of Forge Wood Cricket Club. Countless hours of planning, fundraising, conversations, setbacks and hard work have gone into making this happen, and we couldn’t be prouder of what our community has achieved together.

These nets are more than just a training facility.

They are a place where young cricketers can develop their skills, where experienced players can continue to improve, and where complete beginners can pick up a bat and ball for the very first time.

Forge Wood chased down 201 to win by 2 wickets in a thriller.

Andy Walker anchored the innings superbly with 51* while Talha Khan’s unbeaten 28 helped get us over the line.

With the ball, Jibin Rajendran led the way with 2 wickets in a strong team effort.
