Really, really good football on show from these 2020 players on Saturday and it wasn’t easy in that rain! 🌧️⚽️

The boys played brilliant from start to finish, with some great football and plenty of goals! It’s a good job we aren’t giving them all a pound a goal or I’d be out a fortune! 😂💰⚽️

⚪️🔴 2013 Tornadoes 25/26 End of season awards 🔴⚪️

The 2013 Tornadoes have had a great season, reaching two League Cup Finals, winning the Cup Final just after Christmas, and were unlucky to finish runners-up in the League in spring. The growth in attitude and application throughout the year has been great to see - and every single one of the boys played an important role in the team. Coaches John and Ryan are immensly proud of all the lads have achieved.

⚪️🔴 Most Improved Player 🏆
Odhran Farnon - a fantastic attitude in training, a great competitor, and willing to try his hand at any role we ask - year on year we have seen progress in leaps and bounds across all aspects of his game. As steady and reliable a player as you could hope for. Well done Odhran.

⚪️🔴 Top Goal Scorer 🏆
Charlie McStravick - the golden boot! Twelve goals from Centre Back is a fantastic achievement, and any of them could be goal of the season. Scoring from volleys, freekicks and shots inside his own half were all Charlie specials - he was the Tornadoes secret weapon all season.

⚪️🔴 Player of the Season 🏆
Caleb McConville - covered every blade of grass. A great season for Caleb, chipping in with 9 goals himself, as well as the winning goal in the Cup Final. A hugely influential character across all sectors of the pitch, he never stops running, and was a real creative catalyst in attack from central midfield. A well deserved award.

A special shout out for our Goalkeepers this season! Freddie had three clean sheets in the first half of the season, Aodhan came in and got three clean sheets in the second half, and Ciabhan helped out in nets in the Cup Final, keeping a clean sheet himself and helping us lift the cup - so well done to the lads.

⚪🔴 2015 Dynamos 🔴⚪️

The 2015 Dynamos faced Crewe Utd in the opening game of the Lisburn League.

The Dynamos started this game strong with the lads workrate the difference. Ollie was a brute in midfield and got the boys off the mark with a fine finish. Ollie was at it again just before HT with an exquisite shot into the bottom corner. 2-0 HT

In the second half the crewe goalkeeper was in fine form denying the dynamos. But it was some creative set plays that saw the boys grab another. Daire, normally the provider, was in the right spot to smash home into the net after a cross from his pal Oisin. After riding a period of Crewe pressure, Jude stepped up to score from an inch out. A Dynamo Debut to remember for Jude after a fantastic pre season run of games.

A hard fought 4-1 win to start the league campaign for the 2015 Dynamos.

⚪🔴 2012 Stars 🔴⚪️

A fine start to the league campaign for the Stars as they came away comfortable winners.

It was an excellent half of football from the boys as a combination of good football and determined pressure allowed them to race into a commanding lead. The whole team put pressure on the opposition and performed brilliantly from goalkeeper right through to the front men.

The second half was slow enough from both sides but the lads finally found their way again increasing their lead. Some slack play allowed the opponents to get two goals back but we had the last word with a fine strike from distance to finish the scoring. A great start to the league campaign and with everyone getting minutes in the legs, it was a good day for the squad.

With so many goals scored it would be easy to award Player of The Match to an attacker but it was Finn Gordon in midfield, who put on a defensive shift and drove the lads forward, who took home the award.

The first game back of the season for the 2019 Colts, and what a great way to get started! ⚽️👏

Excellent football played by all, with plenty of goals, great passing and brilliant teamwork on show. Everyone worked hard and really enjoyed getting back out on the pitch.

Daithí and Darragh both worked hard and got themselves among the goals, while Daire and Tommy showed great energy and effort throughout, with Tommy also getting on the scoresheet.

Blake had a fantastic all-round game, Grace worked tirelessly and played some great football, while Ordhan showed great effort and linked up well with his teammates.

⚪️🔴 2014 Tornadoes 🔴⚪️

The lads began the new season on Saturday making their debut in the LCJL 11v11 in Finaghy v Scrabo Academy

The boys began on the front foot and had Scrabo pinned back for most of the first half. Early on a through ball from Joey found Theo who after a mazy dribble tucked the ball in the bottom corner but it wasn't until the 26th min before the boys dominance was rewarded with a fine finish off the crossbar from Donnacha

To Scrabos credit as the second half began they kept fighting and began to cause some problems but Jacob Charlie & Tiernan were solid down the centre. Tiernan's long goal kick found Michael who ran in and finished brilliantly in the bottom corner. Harley had a goal harshly ruled out for offside and during the game we smacked the woodwork 5 times. 2 further goals came near the end. A goal mouth scramble from a corner was pounced upon by Conan who finished neatly and at the death another corner caused chaos and Joey headed in after the ball came off the crossbar.

Credit to Scrabo Academy who fought hard until the end and the game was played throughout in a great spirit

We are delighted the boys were able to adapt to the new set up and rule tweaks with confidence.

The lads kicked off the new season through a torrential down pour yesterday morning but they didn’t let that get in the way of their football. ☔️

The boys played superbly throughout all three games, passing the ball effectively and we saw some excellent goals from Jacob, Finn, Brayden, Cian and Coaimhin…. well done! 👏⚽️🔥

James Dara and Mason provided excellent defending, maintaining a solid backline under pressure.

A very positive start to the season and we look forward to next week. Well done boys!👏💪

What a start to the season at Twinbrook Cages yesterday morning! 👌 Every single player showed up and played exceptionally. 💪

There was loads of passing, calling for the ball and teamwork, with goals on the scoresheet for everyone — whether that was scoring them or creating opportunities and assisting their teammates. 🙌⚽

Aodhan ⚽
Our captain was incredibly vocal, constantly calling for opportunities and making sure he got stuck into every challenge. When something didn't quite pay off, he was straight back at it — finding space, trying again and refusing to give up. 💪

Eoin ⚽
Eoin showed up on that pitch! 🔥 Every time the opposition had possession, he was pressing so hard that they were losing accuracy or forced into getting rid of the ball. And that speed! ⚡ He's a machine, moving from attack to defence, keeping pace with the opposition or simply speeding straight past them!

Enan ⚽
Enan was showing off his strong tackling skills today while also finding space and helping create opportunities for goals. He's not afraid to put a tackle in and won so many balls for the team. He was also excellent at finding space and communicating with his teammates about where he wanted them to be to receive the ball. 👌

Rossa ⚽
Our youngest member can sometimes be one of the most dominant players on the pitch! As his confidence has grown, so has his ability to tackle, win the ball and drive it back up the field like it's easy work. 😎 His improvement already from last season is incredible to see!

Thomas ⚽
Thomas was making some seriously clean tackles today, swooping in from the sides and taking the ball straight from the opposition's feet. He was brilliant at keeping the ball out of our half, winning possession, passing it off and immediately moving into position to create scoring opportunities. 👏

Zane ⚽ — PLAYER OF THE MATCH 🏆
Zane seamlessly moved between attack and defence today and was absolutely everywhere when his team needed him. He saved goals by stepping into goal when needed and defending brilliantly when outfield. His ability to press the opposition allowed him to swoop in and win possession, creating opportunities for the team. A fantastic performance! 👏🔥

A massive well done to all the boys today! 👏 They were absolutely fantastic for their first game of the season. What a way to start — what a high to build from! 💪⚽
