⛳️ AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY OPEN – RESULTS ⛳️

Monday 31st August

A great turnout for our August Bank Holiday Gents & Ladies Stableford Open today, with 41 gents and 13 ladies taking to the fairways at Tandragee🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

There were some fantastic scores returned, with Leon Glover taking top spot after a countback from Alan McCrum, both finishing on an excellent 41 points 👏

🥇 1st – Leon Glover – 41 pts (CB)
🥈 2nd – Alan McCrum – 41 pts
🥉 3rd – Esther Paul – 40 pts
4️⃣ 4th – Caolan Starkey – 38 pts

A superb round from Esther Paul, who not only finished third overall but was also best of the ladies with a fantastic 40 points! 👏👏

🎯 Only two twos were recorded on the day, courtesy of Lisa Duke and John Quinn – well done both! 👏

⛳️ JACK CRAIG MEMORIAL CUP ⛳️

Tandragee were in action today at Warrenpoint Golf Club, taking part in the Cowdy Golf Association Jack Craig Memorial Cup.

The mixed foursomes team event saw each club field five pairs, with each pair returning a stableford score and the best four cards from five counting towards the overall team total.

A great field of clubs competed, including Warrenpoint, Portadown, Kilkeel, Banbridge, Spa, Dungannon, St Patrick’s, Omagh, Castleblayney, Killymoon, Lisburn, Edenmore, Clones, Co Armagh, Rockmount and Loughall.

There may not have been any silverware heading back to Tandragee this time, but Team Captain Nicola Roberts was delighted with the team’s performance and how they represented the club. 👏💚

Most importantly, there was plenty of good golf, great craic and a really enjoyable day — and despite thunder being in the forecast, thankfully the weather behaved itself! ☀️⛳️

💚⛳ END OF THE ROAD FOR OUR WOMEN’S ULSTER TROPHY LADIES ⛳💚

Unfortunately, our Women’s Ulster Trophy team bowed out of the competition this afternoon at the semi-final stage against a strong Lisburn side.

But what a campaign it has been! 👏

Our ladies should be incredibly proud of themselves, having battled their way through four rounds to earn their place in the semi-final. Today’s match saw three of our ladies playing away at Lisburn and three at home at Tandragee in singles match play.

Although it wasn’t to be today, reaching the Ulster semi-final is a fantastic achievement and a great reflection of the commitment, determination and team spirit shown throughout the competition. The ladies represented Tandragee with pride, determination and great sportsmanship every step of the way. 💚⛳

We had 16 ladies out today for the 18-hole Club Prize Stableford, kindly sponsored by Clydesdale School of Motoring.

Numbers were a little lower than usual this week due to a club match, but there was certainly no shortage of brilliant scoring! 👏⛳️

We enjoyed lovely weather for our 9-hole competition, with plenty of good craic and some great scores returned 👏

🏆 CLUB HORSESHOE CHALLENGE 🏆

🏌️‍♂️Men v 🏌️‍♀️Ladies Singles Matchplay

A fantastic evening of golf and good fun at Tandragee Golf Club on Friday 21st August, with 19 matches played for the Club Horseshoe Trophy ⛳️

There was plenty of friendly rivalry out on the course, with some very competitive matches along the way! 😄

It was the Men who narrowly claimed the victory, winning 9 matches to 7, with 3 matches halved 👏

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a delicious BBQ and the chance to relax and enjoy the craic in the clubhouse 🍔🌭

The evening also raised a fantastic £180 for NI Chest Heart & Stroke, the chosen charity of Mr Captain Hammy, Lady Captain Vivienne and Club President Colin❤️

On behalf of Mr Captain Hammy & Lady Captain Vivienne, a big thank you to Karrie and the bar staff, Emma and the catering team, Karen in the office, and Dolores & Jeff for all their work behind the scenes in helping make the evening such a success. 👏
