🛶 Paddlesport Instructor Award - Moira Lakes
Looking to take the next step in paddlesports and start delivering sessions?
We’re hosting a Paddlesport Instructor Award course here at Moira Lakes on 29th & 30th August.
This two-day training and assessment course is designed to give you the skills to deliver quality paddlesport taster sessions and lead short journeys in very sheltered water.

There are some prerequisites for attending, including the required membership, paddling experience and completion of Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Training (PSRC).

🌊 Get Wet, Stay Safe at Moira Lakes
We’re delighted to be hosting two of Swim Ulster’s FREE Get Wet Stay Safe sessions this September and October!
📅 Saturday 19th September - 10am-11am
📅 Saturday 10th October - 10am-11am
📍 Moira Lakes
These sessions are aimed at adults aged 18+ who want to build their confidence in open water and learn practical skills to stay safe - particularly useful if you’re thinking about taking part in a winter or charity dip this year. 🏊♀️❄️
The sessions are completely FREE, but places need to be booked in advance.

🌊 Today is World Drowning Prevention Day 🌊
Water safety is something we’re passionate about at Moira Lakes. Whether you’re swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking or just enjoying time around the water, knowing what to do in an emergency could make all the difference.
We’re proud to be an Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK Approved Training Centre, and all of our lifeguards are qualified Open Water Lifeguards, so sharing these skills is something we care about every day - not just today.
This afternoon we’re hosting Swim Ulster World Drowning Prevention Day session here at Moira Lakes.

The Youth Start and Discover Paddlesport Programme starts at Moira Lakes in collaboration with County Antrim Paddle Sports on Tuesday 21st July for 4 weeks with spaces still remaining on these!
These sessions will run from 6.00pm - 8.00pm.
🚣Ages: 10–17 years
🚣Cost: £24 for the full 4‑week programme (£6 per session)
🚣Equipment: All equipment provided (boats, paddles, buoyancy aids)
🚣What to Bring: Wetsuits provided, bring swimwear for under wetsuit, towel, trainers/shoes you dont mind getting wet and a warm dry clothes for afterwards.
