Big congratulations to club captain Brendan Mooney, on making his 100th competitive first team appearance for Magheralin Village.

Brendan joined The Duck’s 5 years ago, playing his first game in September 2021 - Brendy is now also a part of the coaching set up & a member of the Magheralin Village FC Committee, contributing both on and off the field.

Manager Trevor McKeown presented Brendy with a commemorative award after his 100th appearance.

Congratulations from everyone at the club on the big achievement! 👏👏

Magheralin Village FC are delighted to welcome Adam Waring as our new Second Team Manager ahead of the 2026/27 season! 🤝⚽️

Adam has already made a great start to life with the Ducks, with the Seconds recording 3 pre-season wins as preparations continue for the new league campaign.

With the league kicking off in just a few weeks, there’s still plenty of work to be done, but some really positive early signs from Adam and the lads. 💪🦆

We’re also still on the lookout for new players to strengthen both squads for the season ahead!

A poor start from The Village, but the lads worked their way back into the game and produced a much-improved performance in the second half.

Ultimately, some poor goals conceded and chances not taken at the other end proved costly as our Marshall Cup campaign comes to an end.

A big shout out to George Bassett for stepping back in between the sticks today, and congratulations to Brendan Mooney who made his 𝟭𝟬𝟬𝘁𝗵 competitive appearance for the club! 👏💙

As the club enters it’s 10th season since formation back in 2017, we grabbed a quick photo after the first game of the season over the weekend, a photo that tells a huge part of the story of the first 10 seasons of Magheralin Village FC - all 8 pictured have been involved for each one of those 10 seasons.

Between the seven players/players turned coaches pictured, there are an incredible 1,000+ competitive appearances across the First and Second Teams.

𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁 - Player turned coach.
𝗧𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗰𝗞𝗲𝗼𝘄𝗻 - Player turned First Team Manager.
𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻 - Player turned coach.

𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘆, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆, 𝗗𝘆𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗲 & 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗜𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗲 are all now entering their 10th season as players with the club.

Ryan and Will also made their 160th competitive First Team appearances, putting them joint top of the club’s all-time First Team appearance list, with Connor sitting third on 152 appearances.

And alongside them is 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻, who enters his 10th season as the club’s main sponsor, while also having served eight years as Club Chairman.

Eight club members who have played a massive part in shaping Magheralin Village FC on the pitch through its first decade.

A frustrating result for the Ducks despite plenty of positive football and chances created throughout the game.

MVFC took the lead early in the second half through Luke Carson and looked in control, only for Dungannon to pull one back against the run of play. A clearance inside the Magheralin box took an unfortunate deflection back towards goal and crept into the bottom corner.

The lads continued to push for a winner, creating plenty of opportunities, but just couldn’t find the breakthrough.

A disappointing result on the day, but plenty of positives to take from the performance.
